Chapter 14

We reached the cave as the sun went down. The cave was small but cozy, without any tunnels going further back or monsters inside. We grabbed our bags and threw them against the wall, pulling out our sleeping bags and small pillows. "ZOE! WATCH OUT THERE'S A SPIDER ON YOUR HEAD!" I yelled suddenly. Zoe screamed, frantically shaking her head and trying to slap a spider that wasn't even there. Soon enough, she realised the joke and stalked over to me, who at that moment was doubled over laughing. She grabbed my arm and judo-flipped me onto the hard stone floor. "DO NOT EVER DO THAT AGAIN!" she yelled. It took all of my willpower to restrain my laughter but somehow, with great effort, I did. Zoe took the first watch, so I curled up in my sleeping bag while she sat near the cave entrance. Soon enough, I was asleep, and of course, sleep also means weird dreams. I dreamt that I was standing outside a brightly lit restaurant, which was seemingly peaceful. Two figures passed me and one pushed open the door. With a start, I realised the two figures were Beth and the satyr, Mr Nicolous. I followed them inside and watched as Beth went up to the front desk and decided on an order. She turned to the nearest worker and started to order. "Can I get one cheeseburger with no pickles", she said. "Sure thing, that'll be $3.50 please," The worker said. Beth handed him the money and sat down to wait. "So Nicolous, what's the plan?" She asked the satyr. "The plan is that we wait for the two Demigods to come pick us up, then they will take us to Camp Half Blood where you can learn how to use your powers" Suddenly there was a loud squeaking sound as the door swung open. I couldn't see what was there but Beth stood up and drew her long knife. Someone was yelling "GET UP, CMON!" and then I awoke from my dream.
