Chapter 12
The creek was clear and fast running, two good signs that any water is clean. I dipped my bottle under the water and held it there until it filled up. I put the cap onto the bottle and ran back to Zoe."Here you go," I said, handing her the bottle. She grabbed a clean piece of cloth and wet it, wiping it on the scars. Eventually, after much pain, the wounds were clean. "Here are some bandages," I said, passing her some. She took them and wrapped them around her torso over the scars. "Yay! Now we can be bandage twins!" I said sarcastically, pointing to where my bandages were. "Um Matt, I just realised, where are we gonna stay tonight?" Zoe said. I scratched my chin, "Good point, Well we better find something cos it's gonna be dark soon" I answered back. "Okay Matt, let's scout around here for a place to stay, meet back in five minutes. If I'm not back in ten minutes, look around for me, and I'll do the same for you. We drew our swords and went in opposite directions.
