Dasia went to school the next day. It was stupid but she needed to do something

Other than think about her parents. She went up the stairs, and walked down the

Familiar halls.

Teenagers were scattered all over the hallways. Some in the middle of the hall,

And others against their lockers or in small packs on the ground.

"How are you feeling?" she jumped as she heard the sound in her ear. She whirled around

And realized that it was Maris. A flash of the werewolf from last night went through her

Eyes, but she shook it away.

It was only a messed up dream.

There might be such things as vampires, but she refuses to believe there is werewolves roaming around out there.

"I'm fine. How are you?" she asked as she went into her first period class.

"I'm good. Fantastic actually, now that I see your bright and shinning face today." She sent him a drool look.

"This is totally my shinning face." She said sarcastically as she sat down at her table. He sat beside her, and smiled at her.

"So what have you been up to?" she sighed as she pulled out her book.

"I've been at home, sleeping, and cleaning and crying and some more sleeping, and cleaning and crying. It's an endless cycle, I find. Once you start, it's hard to stop." She said, as she opened her book to the page where she left off. Ever since the other night, she can't stop trying to find why her Aunt hates her so much. Is it because she is a vampire, which she voiced the other night? Is it because Uncle Sin is giving her all the attention and Cassandra feels threatened by that?

"He is just so hot." Those words jolted her out of her mind as she looked to see who he was talking about. Zayden stood at the door way, talking to a group of super rich people.

"He's nice to look at." Dasia said, with a shrug. She saw Maris suddenly gap at her from beside her.

"Puppies are nice to look at. Even flowers are nice to look at. He's like looking at a freakin god in denim." He bit his lip and actively checked Zayden from the tip of his toe to the last hair on his head. "What I wouldn't give to spend one night in his dungeon." Dasia couldn't resist laughing at that. She could definitely imagine that, but alas, there is nothing she could do but try not to stare at him for the whole class period.

"He's taken, Maris. He already has a blond, bubbly girlfriend." She said, trying not to sound bitter.

Maris turned to her, and smirked. That smirk you know someone is hiding juicy gossip, and really wants to tell you.

"What?" she asked. Maris looked forward and tried to look nonchalant.

"Nothing. But I've heard here and there, that their done." Dasia's eyebrows rose at that.

"They broke up?" she asked, shocked.

"Like the egg I had this morning. Right down the middle, nothing attaching them." He said with relish.

So he's free...

And so not interested in her.

She went back to her book, feeling crappier then she had when she walked into the class. The math teacher walked into the room, carrying his suit case, and sat down in his desk. She looked out of the corner of her eye, where Zayden was standing. His gaze met hers, and he gave a small nod, before leaving.
