The next morning, Dasia stood in front of her mirror trying to find a difference from her human appearance. Her long scarlett hair was still the same, her golden de la Cruz blue eyes the same, her whole apperance seemed the same. it felt wrong. how can she feel like she has changed so much on the inside, but not look like it? she stepped closer to the mirror and curled her lips back. with just a thought, her fangs shot out.

if she looked at it in this light, it had a sort of morbib beauty. how can something so white and delicate, be a tool for such death? they where pearly white, and ended in a very sharp tip. she shuddered and pulled back. as much as she accepted her uncles as vampires, how can she accept herself?

especially after her father...

shit.

she quickly looked away from her reflection, and grabbed her school bag and black uniform cardigan that matches her black and gold kilt and simple white shirt.

she cant think about this. not now.

she exited her room, and went down the stairs to the lobby and started to put on her shoes. she was so focused on not thinking, she didn't recognize the sound of the doorbell until her aunt cassie came in to the hall with a clapping lucy on her hip.

"coming." she called, and opened the door after sending her a questioning look, that probably translated in to a ::why didn't you get the door?::

she just shrugged as the door opened, and guess who was standing there?

zayden.

she hated to admit it, even to her own mind, but he looked really hot in his uniform. his shirt stretched across muscles, and his black hair was finger combed and his black sweater bringing out the blue in his eyes. she looked away from him and grabbed her bag from where it was leaning against the wall, and slung it over her shoulder.

"you ready?" zayden asked. she nodded, and turned to Lucy.

"bye, baby." she said, and kissed her on the forehead. if she didn't have super senses, she might have missed the flinch Cassie had. but she did. and she saw. and it broke her heart, she turned away and looked at zayden.

"if we dont go, were going to be late." she said, and stiffly retreated. she walked to his car, which was, of course, a sleek black Ferrari, four seater. she sighed.

her mom always said if you got it, then flaunt it. but in her case, she was talking about her hair when dasia wanted to cut it and dye it black.

her mom...

he came around to her side, and opened the door for her. she gave him a small smile. and slid on to the black leather. he shut her door and went to his side, and got in then started the car.

"have you eaten?" he asked, as he pulled out of her parking lot. she forced herself to keep looking out at the neighbourhood.

"a few bites of cereal."

"that's not what i meant." he said, his voice not revealing anything.

"no. not since the other day." the day when he acted as her knight in shining armor, and turned out to be a jerk in tinfoil.

"there is some in the glove box in front of you. its not a lot, but its enough for you to be in public with out the hunger pains." she didn't say anything. she didn't think she could even smell it with out puking all over his million dollor upholstery.

"do you want to be attacking girls in class for blood and be killed, or drink out of a box." well when he put it like that, how can she not do it? the thought of attacking another girl was just...
