in each and every class, there was either zayden or maris. Maris in art, zayden in gym before lunch, and both of them in math. like, honestly! this is getting ridiculous. by the end of the day, she was ready to scream. when the bell rang, she ducked out of her class before anyone else had a chance to get up. she grabbed her backpack from her locker and nearly ran down the hall trying to get away from the school. it felt like it was suffocating her. she didn't even wait for zayden. she just took off down the street.
she didn't even know why she was so mad at zayden. maybe it was self-disgust. how she threw herself at him. or its just that she is to sensitive. whatever it is, it had her on edge. she was not use to these... darker emotions. and why is she thinking about him again?! that is it. she is never going to think about him again. if her uncle insists that zayden and her spend time together, she will be polite, just like he was polite to her. there will be no other thoughts in his presence or out of his presence. no more thinking of zayden. no more thinking...
a black car passed her and pulled up a little ahead of her. instantly she was on her guard. who the hell would stop to pick up a high school student. an she knew that it wasn't one of her family's car. the only other person she could think of is zayden.
idiot.
she stomped forward, and stood beside the passenger door window. the window was to darkly tint to be able to see who was inside. irritated, she knocked on the window. it went down with the mechanical sound. it actually wasn't zayden in the drivers side. it was Maris.
what did the guy want. he obviously didn't like her like a guy likes a girl.
"Maris. what do you want?" she sighed. he flashed her a charming smile.
"I'm your chauffeur for the day." he unlocked the door. "get in." he said. she sighed.
"what do you want?" she repeated.
"if you get in the car i will tell you." she hesitated a moment. "don't i see you ride !with zayden every morning and after school?" suspicious, she nodded.
"he isn't here." again she nodded. what is his point? she thought irritated. "since he is your driver, that means you live far away from the school. which means you need a car. so get in. ill give you a ride." she straightened, and looked up and down the now deserted road.
"i saw him leave with his bitch of a girlfriend already." she cursed under her breath. od course. she sighed again and opened his door, then got in. she pulled on her seat belt, then waited. when he didn't move, she looked at him.
"you can drive now." she commanded. he laughed at her, then pulled on to the road.
"are you this snarky with your friends?" she instantly felt like the biggest bitch in the planet.
"sorry." she muttered. "your just trying to be friendly. but... why?" she asked. he shrugged as he turned the corner when she said so.
"there is this vibe about you. i can hear it saying i need a friend." she raised a eyebrow.
"really? does it look like i need a friend?" he shrugged his shoulders.
"ya. it kinda does." she sighed.
"just take me home." they drove in silence until they pulled up to her house. well her uncles house. but she lives here...
uh, whatever.
Maris whistled as he stopped.
"damn girl. you are loaded." he whispered.
"its my uncles house. my house is more modest. or was." she said. "where do you live?"
