Soudam - Pethouse 🌸

Kazuichi's POV

I was here... I hope it wasn't a mistake. I rang Gundham's doorbell, biting my lip in anticipation. Why did I think this was a good idea. We had basically been told that Sonia was lesbian, so we had agreed to be friends, as we were no longer love rivals. But maybe, more than friends?

The door knob turned and with a click, Tanaka was standing at the door. He was wearing a grey t-shirt with his signature purple scarf, and was wearing black loose trousers. I wave at him as he smiled. "Greetings mortal, it seems you have made it to my lair. Enter this instant." I smiled as I enter his house.

"How are the hamsters?" I ask, to fill the empty air. He turned around, his soft black and white hair framing his face. "They have been good. Would you like to see them?" I smiled and nodded as Gundham straffes heading upstairs. After walking up for quite a while, around three sets of stairs, he turned into a room.

This room was the attic from from what I could see, it's interior resembled the roof of the house. It had bits of wool around the room, that I assumed were bits of insulation. What was most significant about the room was how it smelt, as it smelt distinctly of pet fir and sawdust. Lined around the room were cages that seemed to be occupied my multiple animals, including a gecko, a snake and a monkey. Gundham walked over to the cage in the corner, that had four different sections.

"Cham-P, Maga-Z, San-D, Jum-P!" He said as he presented each rodent with a peanut. "Gundham, Gundham! Lemme try!" He smiled and handed me one of their treats. I held it up to the bars of the cage as the hamster took it sharply from my fingers and nibbled at it hungrily. "Wow, he sure must like his food.", I said, looking at Gundham. He smiled, that was rare.

He walked over to the lizard and dropped a few bits of food into the feeding tray, as the reptile came to eat it. Then he moved on to the monkey, who was clinging onto the walls of the roomy cage, exited to see Tanaka. He then proceeded to take a banana out of his pocket and hand it over to the ape. I just stood there and watched, half amazed how elegant he can look like doing this and half how much stuff he can fit in his pocket.

I looked around the room more in order to find something to start conversation, but got distracted. Gundham had an owl! It was a tawny, half asleep perched on his, well, perch. I smiled, as I had always wanted to see one. I walked over, but as Gundham was telling me something. "I apologise, my ape friend likes to trash his surroundings. Wait my friend, watch thy step!" He walks in front of me to catch me as I slip over the banana peel that was thrown in front of me.

I was fine, apart from that he hand his hands on my waist and I had my hands on his chest. I looked at him straight in his two tone eyes as I process what happened. "AHH IM SO SOR-" then I was cut off, as I felt a pair of lips on mine. It lasted for a few seconds, as we separated. "You are going to wake up my assistant.", as he pointed at the owl on the side, his arm still gripping my side.

"Uhh, Gundham?" He leaned it a bit closer, placing his hand underneath my chin. "What is it my consort?", he said in his deep voice. "Nothing, just could you let go of my waist?" He shook his head. "I am not holding onto your waist. You are the one holding on to me. He traced my arms from shoulder to hand, as I came to realisation that I was grabbing onto his chest. "AHH IM SO SORRY!" I tell as I jump backwards, landing on my own feet this time.

"It's.. acceptable I guess." I had now realised that his scarf was halfway up his face, and he was starting to go a little red. I think I get it. I check my wrist for the time, as I said I would only be here to talk for a bit. It was five minutes until my shift starts. "I'm so sorry Gundham, but I have to go. My shift at work starts soon." He nodded understandably, yet a small look of disappointment flushed his face. "Let me escort you down the traversing steps to the exit." He opened the door for me, and walks down the stairs.

"I'm so sorry we had to cut this short, but it was nice seeing you and the hamsters!" He nods, "It was nice seeing you as well my friend." Hmm, maybe just this once, I want to try something new. As I walk out the door, I swivel and give Gundham a quick kiss, then walk out of the door like nothing happened.

Hehe, that was fun. Definitely going to do that again.
