Kyle's POV

I haven't talked to Bailey since I sent her that text. Which was three days ago. I'm still a little mad at her, though she did win us that championship. Maybe I should just talk to her. It's going to be a text though, I can't face her. I don't know what to say. Fianlly I just spill it out.

I'm really sorry. I shouldn't be mad at you, you didn't do anything. I know you probably want to dump me considering I've ignored you twice now but please. Give me another chance, I won't mess it up. Please Bailey?

I wait, and wait, and wait. All night, just sitting on my bed waiting. Finally at about 12:30, my phone starts vibrating. I jump out of bed and turn it on.

I don't know Kyle. How can I trust you?

I think about how I'm going to answer.

I know I know. I've let you down. But please, I really love you.

I wait a minute then another text comes in.

Then prove it.

I know what to do.

Fine, then tomorrow after practice. Stay for the meeting on the field.

She doesn't reply for a while. Then I look down to see a new message.

Ok, but if you try to pull something I'll punch you in the nose. Bye.

She's violent, I like that. I hope this all works out.

Exams are next week. The season ends next Tuesday. After classes I rush to the locker room to get changed. When get there all the guys are talking. Probably about something useless so I just get dressed and walk out. On the field we just run over some big plays, do some exercises, practice some team skills. Not much, but it works for practice.

"Ok guys, gather around!" Everyone stands in a circle around me. The cheerleaders finish practice and sit on the bleachers watching us, I don't know why they do that. They don't need to know our plays! "I need to say something. Bailey could you come here please." She stands there with her arms crossed. The linebacker speaks up, he never knows when to shush!

"Are you finally gonna kick her off the team?" He smirks.

"Shut up, I'm not kicking her off the team! She gives more effort than most of the guys, including you!" Without unfolding her arms she walks next to me. "Bailey," I take her hands. "I'm so sorry. About everything. I know a way to make it up to you."

"What then?" I kiss her lips, like we did in the cafeteria. I pull back.

"I love you, Bailey Peters."
