Jacob's POV (+side of the story)

prrrrr!!

that was the cry of boredom I made by passing air through my lips 'Gawdd I'm so bored' I thought
'Why did I even agree to this!' this one I said out loud
'Uh cause' you like chess' Pierre pointed out

Pierre is my best mate and he's the only person I enjoy talking to in this school everyone else seems so blehhh he also helped me through the embarrassing moments I found myself in whenever I see Irene Hall 'ahh she's so beautiful' I thought to myself

'Jacob!! What are you thinking of!' Pierre asked trying to bring me back to reality
'Are you thinking of Irene' he teased
'Nooo' I said with a blush 'I'm just so bored' I added

'But why? You love Chess' Pierre said

'Yeah I do but the way we play just diminishes the core essence of Chess and minimizes...
'Okay dork I didn't ask for a sermon' Pierre chuckled 'Speaking of Essence, have you seen the new member? She's really good'

'Huh? okay okay' I said barely raising up my head to take notice of what Pierre was talking about

•in the hallway

'Finally we're through! Why did Pierre have to leave early anyways' I said as a let out a sigh of relief and scratched the back of my head
'Oww' I heard an unfamiliar voice below me
It was a girl she just bumped into me she's wearing really dull colors but why tf did she bump into me I thought

'Be focused while you're walking, you're not a spirit that can't be seen or bumped into' I scolded

'Don't you dare talk to me like that, I'm not the one that's long like an ostrich' she said back with glaring eyes
'Just get lost, it's pointless exchanging words with you' I said as I walked away from that little confrontation 'is that the Essence Pierre was talking about' I thought
and he called her pretty I scoffed and made my way out of school

Essence's POV

'what a day!' I sighed
'That arrogant jerk! He didn't even give me the opportunity to apologize well that only confirms my speculations! He's just like Donald' I thought out loud
'Well whatever! Why am I even thinking about it!' I said as I tried to find what to do to take my mind of things

'Ez!! A friend from school is coming over today with his older brother' Hannah walked into my room

'Yeah what?' I retorted while rummaging through my novel collection

'Mum said you have to be home to look after us that she might be coming home late and he's a boy i don't know why she's so bothered about Zachary being a boy'

'Ohhh is my naive 9 year old sister discovering boys?' I teased with a chuckle 'why's this boy coming over anyways' I asked

'To talk about Pokémon' she replied
'Oh myyy, I guess I was wrong' I said disappointed
