Y'alllll! We haven't heard much from Irene's aspect, I feel Essence has been a little selfish with this story so let's see for ourselves who "Irene Smith" really is. She's Essence's best friend, she's smart and funny and nice and caring but that only from Essence's POV, shall we!?😀

Irene's POV
'bringggggg bringgggg ' my alarm rang for the 5TH time this morning, ughhh I gotta go to school rn.
'Whyyyyy' I screamed within myself
📍At School
Oh yhh I gotta get with Essence I thought, I wanna talk to her cause although we've been around each other all the time we've been kinda distant. I was walking with Jordan and Jasper in the hallway, Essence would have been here with us but she has to be at her chess club meeting.
'Hey Jasp, what time does Essence's chess club meeting end?' I asked Jasper, mostly because he liked Essence so he tried to know so much about her

'By 3, it's 3 now so she should be done ' Jasper replied with a very assuring look

'Oh there she is' Jordan called out looking at Essence across the hallway who flashed him a smile

Finally my girl is here! I'll need time away from the boys to catch up with her
'Hey b' she said with a wide grin and I flashed her a small smile and mock salute in greetings to her

'Brooo you just completely forgot about your gees, we've really missed you' I said with a fake sad face just to make her laugh and she did
Her smile is so beautiful, I don't think she knows how attractive she is

'It's not like that Irene, I've been swamped with chess club prep. You know we have this huge tournament coming up' She said exhaustingly

In as much as I've known Essence for not so long, it's easy to tell when something is wrong with her because she wears her emotions on her face. I knew something was up and I believe she knows I do but forcing her to tell me won't do me or her any good so, I'll let her be.. for now🙃

'Alright Boo, Soo tell me all the deets. Don't think I haven't noticed the awkwardness between you and that Jacob guy' I blabbed out with a smirk

I may not have been with Essence this past week but I noticed the weird atmosphere between her and Jacob. Although, they hated each other or claimed to hate each other, it was very evident that there was something there and knowing Essence, she will most definitely brush it off 🤣

I signaled for us to leave where we were sitted and go look for the boys. They were probably waiting for us outside anyways.

• At Home

As soon as I got home I crashed into my bed not minding if I was going to hit something with my body. School has been extra stressful lately and I needed a lot of rest. I was too tired to do anything else, I just wanted to bath, eat and then sleep.
'bringggggg bringgggg ' my phone rang really loud cutting through my reverie
Ugh, who is it now. As I picked up the phone to see who was  calling, when my eyes met the name I went into shock for 30 seconds not expecting to see that name ever
The phone kept on ringing which brought me back to reality
Why would he be calling?

Should I pick up??
