'Uh hey' I replied trying to sound cool and maybe even impress her
'So i know you got paired up with my girl Essence could you like uhh try to cooperate with her cause' rn she's throwing a tantrum of how you're arrogant and rude and bla bla' Irene said
'Oh' I replied, so that's why she came up to me just because of that dimwit ughh why do I feel so disappointed

'Oh okay thank you' she said with a smile and I couldn't help but smile back even though I was kinda heartbroken. Irene is just so pretty and smart she gives me butterflies every time since the 6th grade I wish I could just talk to her and at least be friends I envy Jasper he does nothing and he gets to be around her all the....

'Bro! Why're you spaced out they rang the bell 2 minutes ago' Pierre said breaking me away from my thoughts

'I'm just saying they have chemistry, the way they bicker and are always angry at each other cute' Jasper said as he munched on a French fry

'Okay weirdo' Irene took a fry from his bunch and munched along 'Do you still like her? What's that about?' Irene asked

'hmm I'm happy we at least speak now, yes I still like her what's not to like about her she's so charming'
Jasper replied with a passionate look on his face 'but forget about me, I've been seeing you with Jordan a lot lately' Jasper said with a smirk

'Hmm well' Irene licked ketchup sauce off her lips and placed her index finger on the side of her head while pretending to think Jasper wasn't buying it 'Tell me pleaseee are y'all dating or wah?' Jasper asked sounding eager
'Uh kinda' Irene replied
'What do you mean Kinda!?' Jasper furrows his brows
Jordan walks in and grabs a tray and sits at their bench placing his food and then wrapping both his arms around Irene and kissing her forehead but in reality her brows

'Whatttt y'all were talking about meee I'm so honored' Jordan said with a wide smile
'Yeah I was just asking Irene about both of you, what are you guys now?' Jasper said
'Hmm reeeee what are we' Jordan faces Irene and smiles Irene chuckles as she rests her head on his shoulder, she whispers something in his ears 'uh Jasp I gotta go' Jordan said with a smile while getting up and Irene followed suit shooting a smirk at Jasper
'You haven't answered my question tho!' Jasper yelled
'but who's gonna' finish all this food though!!!' Jasper said with a smile picking up his drink and gulping away

'Oh hey Essence' Jasper said with a wide smile on his face

Essence' POV
Omy Jasper has such a nice smile I can't help but smile back 'Where's everyone?' I asked
'Irene and Jordan?' Jasper answered 'mmh mmhm' I nodded
'Those lovebirds are cooking up some shenanigans somewhere probably painting a window with black paint or egging the Principal's office' Jasper said 'hahaha yeah! They're so cute though' I said
Jasper leaned in closer and stared at my nails for what seemed like a million years and took my palm in his and examined it I could feel his breath on my skin and it sent shockwaves through my being and I asked feeling a little shy 'what?'
'I like your nails, nude is definitely your colour' he replied and placed my hand on the tabletop and continued his meal, he seemed completely unbothered by the mini heartattack I just had
What was that though!!!? Essence snap out of it. He's just a friend, clearly.
I continued my meal.
