Warriors: Transformation

Chapter 8

Skypaw's POV

I crouched by my best friend, hoping against hope that she would breathe, move, or at least twitch!!

"Her heart's still beating, she's still alive. Just." Leafpool muttered. She gave Flamepaw some herb that I didn't recognize, and several heartbeats passed before Flamepaw pulled in a shuddering breath.

"Thank StarClan." I dropped my head next to her and slumped to the ground.

"We need to get her back to camp." Leafpool meowed. "Jayfeather should be there. Dovewing, Lionblaze, can you carry her?"

The two warriors gently shrugged my friend onto their shoulders, being mindful of her shoulders and ribs, and started moving slowly out of the training hollow.

Flamepaw's POV

*One day later*

Pain. That's all I could feel. In my shoulderm and whenever I drew in a breath as well. I cracked open my eyes, and realised I was in the medicine den.

"Oh Flamepaw you're awake. Good. You had us worried." I raised my head slightly to see Leafpool sitting across on the other side of the den. "Do you remember was happened?"

"Dog." I muttered, the words coming out raspy as my dry throat protested.

"Stupid mutts. You did well, it won't bother us again. Here, drink this." Leafpool nudged some moss soaked in water to the apprentice.

Flamepaw lapped up the water gratefully, and struggled to sit up.

"Don't you even think about moving." A sharp voice came from behind her. Jayfeather. "You have a broken shoulder and some cracked ribs. You'll recover, but it'll take some time."

Flamepaw groaned. "How long until I can start training again?"

"A moon at least. You nearly died."

Flamepaw opened her mouth to reply, but just then Skypaw came tumbling in.

"You're awake! Oh thank StarClan I thought you were going to die, I was so scared don't ever do that to me again you mousebrain I was scared out of my tail!" She yowled.

"Sorry..." Flamepaw ducked her head guitily.

*1 Moon and a Half Later*

(I had no idea what to write so... ya)

"We'll take it easy ok, I don't want you pushing yourself to much on your first day back at training." Lionblaze told her as they padded out of the hollow.

"I'm fine, really!" Flamepaw protested. "What are we doing anyway?"

"We're going along the ShadowClan border." Lionblaze replied.

"Ok, but please can we run? I need to stretch my legs!" Flamepaw begged.

"Just be careful." Lionblaze sighed. Flamepaw squeaked in excitement and shot off. "And no big jumps!" He yowled at her tail.

Hey guys!! I've finally started writing this book again. This is a bit of a filler chapter, I'm kinda stuck for ideas so please comment and tell me what should happen next!!
