"Uh...Cyane. Please tell me that's one of your kind little fish buddies?" Lycia gulped as she glanced at Cyane.

"Sorry to say this but uhm...no." Cyane gulped too as her grip on the boat tightens.

Suddenly, the water stirred and splashed all three of them in cold liquid. Just as they recovered from the sudden splash, a massive eel like creature revealed itself from the river's waters, screeching like mad. It's body is a dark shade of castleton green, fern green translucent fins dotted his body here and there and 6 cat fish like barbels surrounded it's mouth. As his mouth opened, it reveals a set of sharp yellow teeth and lime green tongue. His bloodshot red eyes darted here and there, searching for his morning meal. As his eyes locked on to the wooden boat, it dives back into the waters to attack it from below. Just seconds after he did so, the boat capsized with a loud splash and the proud screeching of the monster can be heard under the water. Cyane, who spots Lycia nearly drowning, is too engrossed in her task that she didn't realize the monster aiming for an attack from behind! Sensing the upcoming danger, Louise grabbed his bobbing backpack and pulled out his sword from its sheath.

"Cyane, duck!" Louise shouted as he clambered onto the boat and lash his weapon at the monster just in time. The monster began to retreat and Louise helped Cyane and Lycia back on top of the upside down boat.

"Cyane, is Lycia alright?" Louise asks while not looking away from the water, observing the monster's movements.

"Uh...I'm not sure about her health but she's in a bad shape alright. I mean she's out cold." Cyane responses as she tucked Lycia's long hair behind her ears.

"Oh no, here he comes for another attack. Watch your tail!"

"AAH!"

Just as soon as the warning is said, the river monster nearly bites off Cyane's tail in half. Luckily, she managed to whisk it out of the water in time and Louise managed to do another blow on the monster's body. As the monster writhed in pain, the two can clearly see the deep maroon gash on it's side, fountain of blood is formed and the crystal clear water began to turn crimson red.

"Cyane, can you get rid of him while he's distracted?"

"I-I think I can try." Cyane's eyes began to turn cyan again as she stared at the writhing creature ahead. "Aqua fonticulus!"

After the words left her mouth, a massive jet of water shoots from behind them and propelled the creature several yards backward. Finally, the creature is gone, for now. Taking note of the current's  direction and speed, it'll be back by tomorrow at dawn. The two managed to flip over the boat and set Lycia down on it to rest until she gains consciousness. Since they didn't want to encounter the monstrous beast again, Cyane sets the boat off in a much higher speed this time. And they didn't even stop at the riverbank to rest for the night. They decided to sleep in the boat while still keeping alert for any sudden dangers. Just as Louise settle down to sleep, a finger prodded him on the arm, alerting him once again. And since Cyane has long been asleep, there's only one person the finger could belong to.
