Wooyoung had been born six years before the zombie outbreak so he didn't remember much about how the world was before that.

If he hadn't been counting wrong he was turning 17 soon. He had his birthday on the 26 of November, but it was long ago since any one kept track of the days. The only thing he knew was that when the leaves had completely fallen off the trees and it started to get colder and maybe snow a bit, that's when he had his birthday.

He currently lived in a safe house, he had lived in the same since the zombie apocalypse started and he would probably live in the same safe house until he died. The truth was if you tried to live outside of a safe house you would probably die.

Wooyoung had only been outside of the safe house a few times, but that was when he helped others with their duties. Otherwise he had never seen more of the outside. Even thought that he still had a basic layout of how the surroundings of the safe house looked like.

Every safe house was lead by a so called "leader" and they decided everybodys "roles".

We had the "hunters", they where responsible for getting or hunting for food, they where also the ones who took care of zombies that got to close to the safe house.

There was the "watchers" who would spend their day sitting in the "watch tower" keeping an eye on the surroundings of the safe house. In case big amounts of zombies or survivors searching for shelter was near.

Basically all the women did the usual "cooking and cleaning" and watched the younger people. The world had become more "traditional" when it came to men and women's stereotypes, for example being a "house wife". People didn't seem to mind the change, maybe because they had worse things to worry about.

Then we had the people with special roles for example: trading information and supplies with a nearby safe house. it was often them that got home hurt from their mission.

Or you where like Wooyoung, You didn't have a role. Wooyoung didn't have one because their leader Park Jin-Young thought he was to young and reckless. Then he didn't have to risk his life at least.

There of course existed people outside of the safe houses, they often lived in groups having their bases up in high buildings, being very skilled with weapons and killing zombies. Many groups were often in fights with other groups or they were fighting for their lives in a hoard of zombies.

But the people Wooyoung thought was most interesting was the people called "solo" or "solos", they where so skilled in survival and fighting, having secret technics. Many solos where wanted by groups and safe house leaders. they had something Wooyoung didn't: Freedom to do whatever they wanted and travel everywhere they wanted. Instead Wooyoung was stuck in this boring safe house.

He wanted to go on an "adventure" outside the walls of the safe house with out caring about the outcome of his actions.

He started to get in patient with sitting inside, waiting for the apocalypse to be over. The truth was that he had given up on the apocalypse ending.

The hell called an zombie apocalypse had been going on for about 11 years.
