Chasing After You - Woosan

-Chapter 9-

Wooyoung pov.

For once I woke up peacefully without being woken up and dragged out of bed. I slowly sat up stretching and yawning. I got up and dressed to go down to breakfast together with Yeosang. I also put the phone in my pocket so nobody would find it in our room

When we got down Mingi and Yunho were surprisingly already sitting at the table, when they are usually the last ones to sit down.

"Where is Mingyu and jessi?" I whisper to Mingi, because everybody except them was here and ready to eat breakfast. "They went out to hunt in the city before breakfast, both for the solo and for food" He whisper back explaining the situation.

The breakfast got served and it wasn't anything special today either just the usual bread without anything on. There was some small talk and discussions on what people were doing today, otherwise it was a really peaceful breakfast.

The peacefulness was suddenly broken by someone violently slamming the entrance door open. I flinched in my seat at the sudden noice. Everybody stopped talking and turned their heads towards the door in a matter of seconds.

Jessi stumbles in without closing the door behind herself. "it's Mingyu- In the city, I-I- to many zombies" She points towards the door.

"WHAT?! WHERE IS MINGYU?" jyp immediately stands up slamming his hand on the table. I exchange glances with my friends. "There is a big hoard of zombies in the city- Mingyu didn't manage to get away I-i- tried saving him, I really did-" she explains properly.

My eyes widen at the information and everybody else looks equally shocked as me. Does she mean Mingyu is.. Dead? or maybe he got infected?.

Out of all people jyp is the one who looks the most calm, while some look like they are about to cry.  

Then it hit me, a big hoard of zombies in the city, what is gonna stop them from attacking the safe house??

"Yunho and Mingi check the situation from the watch tower" as soon as the words left jin-youngs mouth, they ran to the watch tower.  Everybody sat in silence waiting for Yunho and Mingi ot get back and report the situation. 

They got back pretty quickly with worrying expressions on their faces. Everybody looked at them waiting for them to speak up. It doesn't look good..." Yunho sighs "There are at least 20 zombies and they are getting closer to the safe house." Mingi added.

As the words left Mingi's mouth I immediately knew we were screwed as nobody here had learnt to properly fight except jyp, Jessi, Changbin Mingyu. But we didn't know how it was Mingyu so basically just three people that can fight. 3 against 20 isn't the most promising number.

jyp sighed "in the worst case we all will have to fight"  I knew fighting would just get more people killed. "Why don't you call  for back up from the nearby safe house??" I questioned making jyp glare at me.

"You really think i'm sending out Jisung when there are zombies outside?!" he yelled at me. "Calm down, jin-young it's not a bad idea to ask for back up" jessi says putting a hand on his shoulder.

"No that's not gonna happen." he was irritated. "They won't help us either because we have never helped them" he adds. I sigh "I'm going to my room"I said standing up from my seat, It was directed to Yeosang but  jyp caught on and said "You are going no where we will need you to fight. At that I froze he wanted me.. to fight??

"What?" I said turning around facing him. I saw that everybody was equally shocked as me. "hah You want me to fight?" I scoff. "Yes wooyoung. you, Jessi, Changbin, Yeosang and Jisung are coming with me to fight" he clarifies even more irritated at my attitude.  "Yunho and Mingi are gonna be staying in the watch tower to keep an eye on the situation"

"W-what about us? Nayeon ask pointing at herself, Aisha and JiU with a shaky voice. "You three are gonna stay here in the safe house" He smiled at her before turning his head back to me, frowning. 

"So what are you all waiting for?! Get ready!"  he half screamed.  Nayeon, Aisha and JiU ran to their rooms, Yunho and Mingi headed to the watch tower and the rest of us followed with Jessi to the weapon store room that was in the basement.

"Choose whatever you want except guns, the loud bullets will only attract more of them" She explained pointing at the weapons. I ended up picking what looked like a sword but it was a bit shorter but still way longer than a knife.

Stepping outside with the others made me nervous about how this would go after all I had zero fighting experiences. I was also worried about my friends because as far as I know they couldn't fight properly either. Well I  guess it wasn't so hard to just dodge and slice zombies heads.

The zombies were just some hundred meters away and they looked like they could be a lot more than 20 of them...

"Spread out!" jyp ordered and I did as he said. I ran away to the left. Not so long after that Jessi was already launching at the zombies from the other side taking out at least three of them before jyp and Changbin joined in doing the same.

A zombie noticed me standing still and started walking towards me, other zombies joining in. I couldn't move, but I had to if I wanted to live.

I waited with doing anything until the zombie had gotten close, then I swung the sword getting a good slice through its head, blood flowing out staining the sword but that only made more zombies turn my way. I started backing away, frightened.

Another zombie launched at me making me swing the sword. This time it wasn't so successful, only cutting its waist, it wasn't dead but at least it couldn't move after me.

I held the sword in front of me continuing to back away, further from the zombies, further from the safe house. I managed to slice some more zombies, but they never stopped coming towards me. How the fuck was this at least 20?? Never mind i will have to ask Yunho how he counted if i survive this.

Then I realised, I still have the phone in my pocket. I sliced the nearest zombie  and ran away so it would take some time for them to catch up, before pulling out the phone.

PLEASE HELP ME AT THE SAFE HOUSE, HOARD OF ZOMBIES.

Seen.

As soon as I sent the message the zombies were at me again, grabbing a hold of my ankle. I really hope that 'seen' meant he was on his way to help me. I sliced the zombies wrist, freeing my ankle.

While I was fighting I didn't notice how far away the safe house was, until I suddenly bumped into a tree, which meant I was in the forest already. 

I know it wasn't a good idea to go into the forest, I could get lost and who knows what's in there. but it was my only option as I was surrounded and couldn't fight off all the zombies while standing still.

I don't get far into the forest before a deep voice mischievously asks,

"Oh what do we have here?"
