..oh yeah, i forgot to set my alarm. That was your first thought as you opened your eyes. You look over at your clock at read the time, and then start debating whether you should go to work or not. I mean- if I get ready now, I'll be late but..I feel unsafe here and Bob makes me feel better. And with that, you grab your phone and text Bob you're going to be a little bit late.
. . .
Once you're done getting ready, it's already 8:02. You grab everything you need, lock up your house, and drive to your job. You don't know why, but it exhausts you. You finally arrive but instead of immediately getting out, you just sit there. You're too tired to get out. Everything that happened last night stressed you out. He must've been the one that gave you that stuff. Remembering that today is Halloween makes you even more worried than you already are—because you remember the haiku. Of course, you're already here so you don't have much of a choice, so you get out of your car and walk into Boys & Grills.

You're welcomed by the bells chiming and the aroma of meat. You don't pay much attention to it, since it's the least of your worries. "Y/N? Is that you?" You look up and see Bob coming out of the kitchen, with a slightly worried look. "Yeah.. I'm fine, why?" "Well, you don't look ok and you're really late! Did somethin' happen?" Hearing that, memories of last night flashed in your mind. Seeing the Red Devil himself in your house, cutting off your cell service, and then trying to get into your basement. Compared to other victims, it wasn't that bad, but it still freaked you out. I mean, he was in your house, wouldn't that make you his newest victim.? "No.. nothing happened, just..tired?" You replied at long last, but he didn't seem to believe you. "Well, if you say so.. and uh- about today, I won't be able to make it." And then there was a moment of silence. "That's fine, I completely understand, I'll just text you if anything happens, okay?" You said, trying to break the silence and stop him from worrying. He stared at you without saying anything and just nodded. You watched as he went back into the kitchen and you walked up to the counter, already bored, knowing that today would also be a slow work day.
. . .
It was finally time to leave. After a few hours of taking customers orders every 50 minutes and started up a few conversations with Bob every once in a while, you were dreading going home. You couldn't help but wonder if you were actually Red Devils newest victim, or if he'd show up at all today. You said your goodbyes to Bob who was just standing there with drool coming out the right corner of his mouth. It's not anything to worry about but it still freaked you out. You'd never seen him do that and he had the same smile on his face like he im did yesterday. You got into your car and decided to stop by candy club, since you had run out of candy and some trick-or-treaters might stop by.

You finally arrive at candy club and leave your car in a spot in the parking lot, when you walk in though, Kevin's not here. Instead, it's Rick. "Hey, where's Kevin?" You ask, trying to not sound rude. You watch as he cringes with a sad look on his face. "He's uh- not gonna be here for a while." And for some reason you can't help but worry. What happened to him.? You try not to think about it and focus on getting the candy that you came for. You grab two bags of mixed candies, pay for them, and leave. On your way home, you still can't help but think about Kevin. You haven't heard from him in a while and all of a sudden he won't be at work for- who even knows?? You can't help but wonder if it was Red Devil, but you immediately take your mind off that creep once you pull up to your driveway. You grab the candy, unlock your door, and immediately lock it once you're inside. You walk into the kitchen and look for a bowl to dump the candy in and grab the biggest one you have. You dump the bags of candy in and set it on the dining table—you check your phone and it's already 7:48 so the trick-or-treats are gonna be here soon—and just like that, you hear a knock on the door. You grab the bowl and open the door and see two kids. One dressed as a skeleton and the other as a pumpkin. "Trick-or-treat!!" They both shout. You smile at them and put a handful of candy into each of their pillow sacks. They wave goodbye as you watch them walk down the street, to more houses. You closed the door, setting the candy bowl down on the floor so you won't have to go all the way to the kitchen, and get on the couch to watch a horror movie. You turn the TV on and browse around for a few minutes before you hear more knocking, it's already 8:03 so you might as well just stand at the door. You walk over and pick up bowl of candy, however, when you open the door it's not a trick-or-treater. It's the very same thing you were worried about. Red Devil.

As soon as you opened the door you weren't greeted by a "trick-or-treat!", but instead by a big wide smile with drool all over. With no hesitation you dropped your bowl of candy, grabbed your phone, and ran upstairs. You knew you had a crowbar up there. You can hit him and run out the house. You'd have protection. You'd have the advantage. The next thing you know, you're in your room with the door locked. You lock all your windows and shut the blinds. You crawl under your bed and grab your crowbar as well. You can hear him walking up the stairs, but it doesn't matter, you're already dialing the local police station. "Hello, this is Officer Jack, what's your emergency?" You pause for a brief moment. "T-There's someone in my house.." you reply, whispering so the guy in your house won't hear you. "Ok, stay calm. Can you describe this person?" "It's the Red Devil." You reply, with no hesitation. You can hear the policeman whispering to someone else, perhaps his partner, and he starts speaking again. "Can you give us your-" and just like that, your phone is dead. No way.. I forgot to put it to charge. You said in your mind. You could feel tears forming in your eyes, I don't wanna die. Not by his hands. Not to anyone.. I just- and your mind goes blank. You can't think anymore. All you can do is feel yourself crying. And as if things weren't bad enough, you watched and heard as your room door opens up. Your eyes widen and you do your best to not make anymore noise. All you can do is watch as he starts searching through your room, probably looking for you. You grip your crowbar tighter than you were as you watched him edge closer and closer to your bed frame. There's only a few centimeters of space between his shoes and your face, and then he stops, you already know he's found you. He bends on one knee and peeks under the bed with a big, wide, drooling smile. You immediately crawl out the other side of the bed and run, knowing he's not too far behind you. You notice your front door was left open so you bolt out your house, looking behind you from time to time. Everyone thinks you look crazy; but you don't care. That's not your main focus. You're too scared to worry about what everyone else is thinking. You're angry at yourself for forgetting to charge your phone, you want to see Bob. You want his comforting presence. You reach the end of your neighborhood and slow down a little, There's no wait he could've followed me all the way out here. You turn around and don't see anyone except trick-or-treaters and their caretakers, making you feel a little better.

You keep walking a little bit further, entering the woods without worrying, you come here often so you know your way around and at this point? It's more of a safe space to you. You still have your crowbar, but loosen your grip, just a little. You keep on walking until you reach a specific spot, the cliff. You sit down and the edge and set the crowbar down right next to you. You watch the moonlight shining on the ocean under the cliff your town sits on. You sit and process everything that just happen to you, not worrying you as much anymore. You lay down and instead decide to watch the moon. The scenery of this town is absolutely beautiful.. and you can't help but think about Kevin. The moon welcomes you in a way his smile did. You wish you would've gotten to know him better. You someties visited candy club during your work breaks or after work in general, just so you could speak with him. You guys had quite a few things in common, and you loved listening to him rant on about how much he loves his boyfriend, Streber. I hope they're both doing well. You sit back up and listen the sounds of the ocean, and close your eyes. ..But you're forced to immediately open them back up when you hear a branch snap and grass moving. You don't look back. You don't even wanna think about who it might be..
