Although they were technically still in Seoul, tonight would be the second concert on the Blackpink World tour. The past year had been one of the busiest of her life. Between promoting her drama, recording the album, learning choreographies, and filming the music videos, not including the work she was doing as a global ambassador for Dior and Cartier, Jisoo was always on the go.
Her family, friends as well as boyfriend had suffered the consequences. Everybody had been very accepting and supportive of her. They proudly demonstrated their love and support yesterday. Many family members, including her mother, sister, and grandmother, showed up yesterday. Her brother and father confirmed their presence for tonight.
Many members of her Snowdrop family were coming to watch her perform today, except for Yoon Se Ah Unnie and Ahn Dong Goo Oppa. They came to cheer her on yesterday.
Jisoo had not been pleased with her performance yesterday. She was very nervous, and her mind-control tricks made her look detached. She had squeezed in a 2h Pilates lesson, a massage, and an acupuncture session this morning to relieve some of the stress and the pain in her left shoulder. Unfortunately, the benefits had been limited. But still, her mind wasn't at ease. All the thoughts seemed to crowd her mind like an endless loop of worries, fears, and doubts. She closed her eyes, inhaled deeply, and slowly counted from one to ten. When she opened them again, she noticed that a tiny ray of hope had sneaked through all this anxiety.
When she had gotten home, she spent some time chilling with Dalgom. She hated that her lifestyle made her allergic to her most precious companion. She made sure to give him lots of love and attention, regardless. She had anticipated a tough weekend ahead of her and would be gone for most of the following month. She had decided to take antihistamines so she could enjoy her beloved pet. She had moved him back in with her a couple of days ago and planned to keep him until her flight to Dallas next week. Her boyfriend had left a spicy ramen cup and a folded paper airplane on her coffee table that read:
I hope the massage helped.
I can't wait to see you.
Remember to have fun!

This would be her first time performing before him; karaoke and practice session videos didn't count. He knew Jisoo, the actor; Jisoo, the friend; Jisoo, the girlfriend, and he was to meet Jisoo, the idol. While that made her nervous, what scared her most was him getting recognized during the concert and the reaction that would elicit from their fans. She also didn't want to steal her bandmates' thunder and make tonight all about her.
When she got home last night, he was lying on her gaming room couch with Dalgom on his chest, barking at some light stick. Jisoo couldn't believe her eyes. Her boyfriend was configuring a Blackpink light stick with his phone.
"Dalgomi, this is why you are not going tomorrow. If you bark every time you see the light, no one will be able to hear mommy sing," her boyfriend admonished. He was happily tinkering with it, and a broad smile spread across his face when he saw her.
Had anyone told her two years ago, almost to the day when she first met him, that she would come home to this picture of domesticity. She would have never believed it. Although she had grown comfortable with his presence in her life, and there was no denying the strong connection between them, it still seemed impossible. But here they were in a quiet home filled with tenderness and love that strengthened their bond. She no longer questioned why she had fallen for him so profoundly or why he reciprocated her feelings. The answer was evident in his eyes every day; a quiet, gentle love that made her heart swell with joy whenever he looked at her.
