Chapter 6 : A romantic gateway (part 3)

Jisoo awoke to the sensation of something weighing her down; when she opened her eyes, she found Haein had turned in his sleep and was now using her as a comfortable body pillow. She felt the warmth of his head against her chest, his arm securely wrapped around her belly, and his leg thrown on top of hers. How had this man become one of the most important people in her life in such a short period of time? She couldn't help but be filled with happiness as she lay there. She never expected to fall in love with such intensity. She had a firm policy: no romantic relationship as long as her career was connected to three other people's, and any mistakes could have an effect on the people around her. However, this big baby in her arms made her break all rules and reserves. It had crept up on her so slowly, subtly, and naturally that she had failed to realize the depth of her feelings before it was too late. As she slowly stroked his now long hair, Jisoo could feel him stirring. A few seconds later, a pair of warm, dark brown eyes were gazing up at her.

"Good morning" Jisoo greeted

Haein responded by lovingly planting a sweet kiss on Jisoo's chest, his arms wrapped around her in a close embrace as he went back to sleep. Jisoo tried to pull away but Haein tightened his hold, bringing her closer to him as his face got nearer to hers. She showered him with kisses all over his sleeping face before closing her eyes back.

A couple of hours later, it was Haein turn to wake. The first thing he saw was a soundly sleeping Jisoo. She was breathtaking without makeup on, her lush hair was covering half her face and her lips were the prettiest shade of pink. God how he loved her! He slowly ran his fingers through her hair, pushing it out of her face and pausing to take in the beauty of the scene before him. After a moment, he pressed his lips to hers, stirring her awake. She opened her eyes slowly, her gaze capturing his and holding it, before slowly smiling at him.

"Good morning beautiful" Haein murmured softly, as Jisoo snuggled closer to him "If we keep this up, we'll never want to leave this bed."

Jisoo nodded her agreement into his chest. After a few moments, he tenderly murmured into her ear, "Jisooya, how about we go for a hike today?" Jisoo stirred slowly and opened her eyes, looking straight into his face. She gave him a warm and affectionate smile, cuddled further into him before whispering back, "Of course, would you mind making me a delicious breakfast first?" Gently caressing her back, Haein said, "What would you like to eat?"

Taking her precious time to think it through, Jisoo asked with a flirtatious smile on her lips "Surprise me!", to which Haein responded with a giggle and a few tender kisses on that remarkable smile of hers before affirming "Okay, go and get yourself washed up."

Haein climbed out of bed, then hurried to the bathroom to clean himself up quickly. Afterwards, he made his way to the kitchen, opened the fridge, and grabbed the items necessary to make them some sandwiches for breakfast. Jisoo was in for a real treat. He began preparing the omelet and ham with extraordinary care, meticulously washing the lettuce and tomatoes. He toasted the bread to perfection, then pulled out the prewashed strawberries, sugar, and milk to the mix. He was determined to make a delicious glass of homemade strawberry milk.

When Jisoo came out of the bathroom, Haein had already whipped up the strawberry milk he'd stashed away in the fridge and was now assembling the sandwiches. He felt her arms encircle his waist "Hmm it smells good" Jisoo said. Haein answered as he tenderly touched his fingers to the hands on his belly "Jagi, I am almost done, could you please make the coffee?" Jisoo affectionately kissed his back before she, with great reluctance, let go and began to make two espressos using the Nespresso machine.

"Oppa, do you want yours hot or cold?" Jisoo's voice rang out "Cold please" Haein replied. Jisoo went over to the freezer and grabbed a handful of ice cubes. She then poured them into two tall glasses, added the espressos she had already made and added cold water. She added a couple of metal straws and brought the drinks over to Haein to try. She brought the straw to his mouth just as he finished putting the finishing touches on the sandwiches. He took a sip of his Americano, and with a satisfied smile, declared "Perfect! Have a seat"
