Hello everyone,

Thank you for your patience. It was an incredibly busy work month for me. I will do my best to keep up the weekly update. This chapter was inspired by some videos I saw of the Abu Dhabi concert.

I hope you enjoy it.

January 28th, Jisoo's apartment

Haein's week had been a rollercoaster of activity. Ever since Jisoo departed for Riyadh, he had been constantly shooting; he was exhausted. Ordinarily, he would have gone home to relax and unwind however this evening, his girl was coming back home.

Since the Dior fashion show, their conversations had been very limited , and even their messages to each other were very short. He connected that to her intensely tight schedule and her best friend Soojin's Parisian visit. She had fittings for the Fashion show, rehearsals, and official dinners for the charity show. She had looked magnificent and regal in her outfit. He didn't dare to utter this thought, but after watching the photos of her, he imagined her in a white dress again and this time, with him holding her hand instead of Mathilde.

On the day of the gala filming, Haein had a feeling that something wasn't quite right. Jisoo had sent her usual "good morning" and "good night" messages, as well as a few clips and images of everything but her, and that had been all. The performance they gave was amazing and incredibly powerful. He was in awe of the way they managed to eclipse even the most established of international performers such as KID CUDI and Pharrell Williams. It was like having a mini concert in the middle of the French charity gala, with the Bl-ping-bongs in the air.

He knew that the cold she had caught had not been easy on her and for months, they had been passing it back and forth between Blackpink members. He knew that if they wanted to get rid of them, they should stop sharing water bottles, beverages and food during the tour. If she had asked him, Jisoo should stop hugging and kissing so many people, especially guys. But he was digressing, here he was in Jisoo's apartment without her, she was on the plane already and would be in Seoul in 5 hours, 36 minutes and 41 seconds; Who's counting?

He was filled with so much anticipation that he couldn't sleep, and instead decided to take a shower as a way to relax. She had missed Chuseok, so he had bought all of the ingredients needed to make Tteokguk (traditional rice cake soup eaten at lunar new year), knowing how much she had been wanting it. He would make the soup base, and only put the rice cakes and mandus in it the morning. As Haein finished cleaning the kitchen, he started to feel the exhaustion set in. He knew he had four hours until Jisoo was due home and he would take a quick power nap, setting an alarm to make sure he was awake when she arrived.

Once her managers had left her apartment, Jisoo inhaled deeply and looked around her living room, she was home and not just for a short time; she was home for a whole month. She was spent physically and emotionally; all she wanted to do was take a shower and sleep for at least 24 hours. Jisoo staggered to her bedroom, the light dim but still on, and the man of her dreams sleeping soundly phone in hand. She paused for a moment to take in the sight before her.

Jisoo tiptoed to the bathroom careful not to wake him up. After her shower, it was time to go to bed. She lay down on the bed, facing Haein, when her hand found its way to his hair. It had grown longer than it was when she had left, more than 10 days ago. She carefully traced her fingertips over his forehead and then down his nose, before finally coming to rest on his lips. As she was making her way to his cheek, she felt a butterfly kiss on her palm and heard a sweet sigh, before her eyes were drawn to his beautiful, searching brown eyes.
