First shop of many is called: Comfort and Style. I've been here before, and the most comfortable clothing that I own is from here. I smile, thinking about Tam's happy face when I'd show him all of these comfy clothes.
I went towards the men's section and looked for shirts and pants, because Bangs Boy didn't seem to ever wear shirts. I saw some in different shades of gray, purple and blue. I grabbed at least two of each color, and I found so many pants. I looked for Tammy Boy's size, and found hundreds of leggings and sweatpants staring back at me. As I sifted through the piles, I thought about what's going to happen in just a few hours. Our Tribunal is in six hours. We both agreed to meet at home around 4:30, so we'll have time to try on our clothes and talk.
I found the perfect pajama pants for Tam, black with a flannel like pattern of ice blue and silvery blue. The color was super pretty and I kind of wanted one too. You're shopping for Tam, so no you stuff. I could always go shopping another time.
After roughly forty five more minutes, I had a thick stack of clothes on my left arm, my right arm was used for sifting and stacking more clothes on the former. I'll always be grateful for that cashier because she didn't ask who I shopped for, even though she definitely knew it wasn't for me.
"That'll be 81 Lusters." She said it calmly, and I swiped my small green cube on the scanner. She gave me a thumbs up and gave me the four bags with clothes in them. I smiled and wished her a good day before leaving to the next store.
Next stop: Copra. Copra is the name of a famous shoe brand in the L.C. They were a must have, and everyone had at least one pair of their shoes, even the Cou- you know what, fuck them. Nope, not allowed to think about the unmentionable during this happy time.
Tam's shoes are absolutely nasty, they're ripping at the fucking seams, so I looked at his shoe size before I came here. I know Tam absolutely adores fluffy boots, which is just super cute! I decided to get him a pair of dark gray sneakers too, in case we went hiking or on some adventure or whatever. As I walked over to the boots section, I saw my best bestie, Biana.
"Bi-A-Naaaa!" I threw my arm (that wasn't holding a shoebox and four bags) around her, and she hugged me back.
"I wasn't expecting to see you here, Keefe. I was just shopping for Sophie. Her wardrobe is still atrocious. I got her a bunch of comfy clothes too. Anyways, that's enough about me. How's Tam?" She also knew about Tam and I, because she told me that she's also pan. After she told me, I came out as bi, and then Tam as gay. We all told Biana first, save for Tam, because he told Linh and Wylie and Tiergan, who didn't give a shit.
"Tam's great, but," I lowered my voice, "we have a Tribunal tonight because the Council passed a 'no LGBT+ elves' law four years ago. Can you come please? It'll be a relief to see some family there." She was like my little sister, and I remember having sleepovers and gossiping about hot girls and cute boys with her.
"Yes. What time?" She didn't hesitate, just pulled out a notepad that said 'To Do' on the top.
"6. They came in the middle of the fucking night to tell us too, like bitch, why?" I sighed, and we agreed to start shopping together for a little while.
The first rack had dozens of shoes, and I picked a size 8 men's, I was a size 7.5. Yes I'm shorter than him, but it's only by..
Four inches...
"Keefe! These heels are so my style! But they will look better on Sophie, her color is deffo red." Biana has done Sophie's makeup and picked out her dresses so many times. You can't tell me she doesn't know which color suits her best.
"Those are some hot af heels. The three inch stilettos are not really something she might wear, but she'll need to for the Tribunal." I just invited Sophie, and Biana's going to make her look nice anyways, so why not give out some fashion advice?
"What are you wearing? Because if you and Tam don't know, I'm going to help you. After all, you two are hot, but I don't think the Council would like it if you came in a crop top and baggy jeans."
"Thanks, B. Also!" I pulled out a pair of thigh high black boots. "These, on Tam. Sexy! Right?" I smiled, and Biana chuckled.
"Hell yeah! Those are going to look so good on him. You two are coming over at 5, no excuses. You can try on your new clothes at my house too." She was literally the best friend ever.
"I was going to anyways. Now, we should probably go somewhere else soon."
Seven more shoes and 120 Lusters later, Biana and I were at Formality and Practicality. I think the name explains it all. We needed to come here, and then we can go for more fun stuff. It's now 2:45, and we only had and hour and forty five more minutes. An hour here, 45 elsewhere. That was what B and I decided.
"You go look for dark gray and blues, don't do anything to bright. Grab one or two black or light grays. Good luck!" Biana shoved me over to the suits section while she went for a huge dress part of the store.
I think I should start at blue first, and I saw a deep blue that reminded me of the ocean. It had a black tie and it was striking. Tam would definitely look great in that. I placed it on my right arm, my left was getting super sore.
A few suits later, I was looking for a black and dark gray one now. I found a nice one with super soft texture on the inside, but still looked nice and could keep it's shape. A keeper. I found the rest of the list and went to find Biana.
A silver dress that faded into ice blue caught my eye. It was form fitting at the top and cascaded into a few ruffles that stayed close to the dress. I found a pair of diamond colored stilettos to match. The dress and shoes found its way back on the shelf somehow, which made me a little sad. I abandoned my search for Biana and went straight to checkout.
Biana met me at checkout two minutes after me. I was already done, and waited for her.
"Next stop: All Things Hair!" Biana grabbed my hand and I was pulled into a modern shop with hundreds of hair products.
"Thank you," I breathed. For theatrics, I lightly kissed her hand and pulled her towards the styling section.
*45 minutes and 12 bags later*
"I'm home, and I brought B!" Tam was home, I knew because he hailed me as I was walking out of All Things Hair. Biana went straight upstairs with me, and we met Tam laying on our bed, reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I finished the series last week, and Tam is breezing through it. He just started two weeks ago, the bookworm.
"Tam! B and I went shopping together after I met her in Copra. Let's try our stuff on, and B can judge, I guess." I suggest it quickly, and Tam handed me a bag from F and P (A/N titles of stores and locations might be abbreviated, just for future reference) and I handed him the first one of mine.
"Tam, bathroom, Keefe, closet. Now go change into your suits. I also bought each of you a surprise item, so we'll try that on last. I got it from four different stores, and they're all dresses or dress related." She smiled wickedly and told us to change.
There won't be a Tam pov for shopping, but they will go shopping again, and that time I'll put in Tam's pov, don't worry! Biana and Keefe are just besties, nothing more, nothing less. Linh will make an appearance soon, don't worry.
