Today was the big day. I woke up first and rolled over to give Tam a kiss before I got up to brush my teeth. A gray shirt and black sweatpants were waitng for me in the closet, so I pulled those on and decided to wake up my dearest boyfriend.

"Wake up, we're leaving today baby," I kissed him again and he woke up, squinting.

"If you ever call me baby again then I'm breaking up with you, Kiki," he glared at me, but didn't look very threatening as he had bedhead. He got up and went to the bathroom and I grabbed my socks after I realized I didn't have them on.

"Come in, let's do our skincare and hair. I need to feel alive right now." Tam opened the door a crack, and I came in. He looked jaw dropping gorgeous, his hair half covering his eyes and wearing a light gray cropped hoodie with jeans. He was already washing his face as I stared at him, mouth open. "Come on, we need to look cute for moving in, we do so at 10, we only have 60 minutes!" He was nervous, I could feel it in waves, so I hugged him for support.

"We'll be fine, now let's do some beautifying." I pulled away and we started, and finished in about forty minutes. He made coffee and put it in two Yetis, one for me. He packed all the skincare while I packed all of the haircare. It was 9:53, and we were nearly ready.

"Let's go?" We had our shoes on, and our suitcases were in hand already. Councillor Emery gave us a crystal for 654 Farnum Road, which was our new home, after making us give him all of our other leaping crystals. I was ready, and excited to have a fresh start.

"Yeah, let's go to our new home!" I held up the cobalt crystal to the light and we glittered away.

We landed inside of our new home. There was a living room right when you entered, attached to a dining room and kitchen. It looked fairly simple, and I liked it. The fanciest part was the indoor fireplace, and the Council already provided us with furniture apparently, and a short note.

Good luck settling in. You are both seventeen, so you are eligible for living alone. You're not required to go to high school, so don't worry. But you both need a job and to settle in soon. Good luck boys.

I passed the note to Tam, who laughed bitterly.

"Hell no. We're going to high school, we need a proper human education, or else we're fucking screwed. And you're not skipping, I don't care that you'll be able to catch up. Human schools are strict, so we're going to get an education." His tone was final, and I knew better than to argue. I wouldn't mind getting an education and not having my life be super confusing, so I'll do it.

Over the last few months, Tam and I have learned everything that humans learn in K-8th grade, so we're set. We brushed up on everything for a few days, and even wrote a mini essay about a topic we found on the internet. After breezing through ELA, we went through math and tried to unlearn all of our elvin education for science-y stuff.

"Sophie was right, unlearning is hard! I can barely get through Newton's laws without telling you that they're bull." I complained to Tam, who was quizzing me on formulas and theories. I quizzed my boyfriend earlier, and he didn't get any wrong, like the annoyingly smart hottie he was.

"It's fine. You'll be okay as long as you stick with definitions and try to stick it in your head." Tam was wasting his time, but I loved that he actually tried with me.

After a bit of quizzing, he decided to make dinner as it was getting  a bit late now. He made delicious fried chicken, which we both loved after trying it. You may be wondering, 'but aren't elves vegetarian?' You are correct, but elvin food wasn't avalible, so we decided to quit vegetarianism and just eat what we thought was delicious.

"This is good. I love it! We should watch Hell's Kitchen after this too. I love watching Gordon yell at people, it's so funny." I added thoughtfully, while Tam beamed at the compliment I first gave him. Both of us were glad in the other's company, and it meant a lot to me that we were together and happy, even with us being banished.

After dinners ended up watching this week's episode of Hell's Kitchen, and then we put on Survivor. The people were good at what they did, and it was entertaining watching them all.

"No way, Nick's gone. Did you see that performance?"

"No, he has an idol, and his alliances will keep him protected!"

"I'm telling you, he's gone! It's him or Owen, at the very least."

It went on like this every Wednesday and Thursday, same arguments, different people. We both wanted the same people to win, no matter what other weird things happened.

Biana and Linh would visit sometimes, but usually it was Wylie who would come to check on us. Linh and Wylie both got cats recently. Linh's was a brown and black cat named Hollawood, or Holly for short. Wylie named his companion Sir Astin Cuminsor, or Cumin for short. They were all going to MT as well, and we all decided to do junior year, except Wylie, who decided to go for senior year.

Tonight we were going to have a sleepover at our house, where we'd talk, catch up and play games. Recently Tam and I bought Villanous, Sorry!, a deck of cards, and Harry Potter Trivial Pursuit, because apparently all five of us have read the books and seen the movies at least four times.

I grabbed my phone and texted Biana and Wylie that they can come over in ten, because we're ready now. Tam was lying on the couch, on Tik Tok. While he did that, I grabbed my sleeping bag, Tam's, board games, and Tam himself. By then, everyone was inside the house, and I smiled, glad to see my friends again.

"Alright!" I clapped my hands together and smirked.

"Let the games begin."
