Chapter Two

Elise POV

January 6th 2021

Waking up this morning, I still didn't feel that ease in my stomach about this whole New York trip

After telling Connor and Jake everything they were quick to reassure me that everything would be fine. They were very adamant to say that we were all here to help me. Even though I already knew that they would help, I just couldn't wrap my head around leaving her. But I know for her own good I couldn't bring her with me.

Connor and Jake stayed in my guest room last night as they were both planning to stay with Halle for the day again and it was easier for them to stay cause I had to leave earlier than usual.

I ended up getting to set around a half hour earlier than I was supposed to, so now I'm just simply sitting in my trailer with a blanket wrapped around my legs. Today is one of the colder days that we get in January considering we live in LA and even though I love cold weather, it's just a bit too much for me today.

As I have my music blaring in my ears, I barely hear the knocks on my door indicating that someone is here. I tell them that it's open as I take my headphones out of my ears, putting them in their case and on the table. In walks the three people I was expecting, Elliot and Samantha leading and Harry behind them.

"Okay, getting right to it, as you both know we are heading to New York for the majority of the scenes we have left." Samantha was quick to get to the point with why we were both here at this time in the morning.

Harry and I both nod our heads in agreement before she continues with what the point of this meeting is.

"Well, I don't know if you are aware but, pap photos came out of you guys yesterday and fans are quite literally going crazy.

I was confused, to say the least. Photos of us doing what? Fighting? Why is this so important and why did fans go crazy?

"So what does that have to do with the New York trip? All those photos are filled with our fight?" I speak up still very confused about why any of this is important

"Yeah what she said," Harry says, pointing at me with fingers pinching his bottom lip.

Samantha and Elliot look at each other before they continue and I can already tell that I don't like where this is going.

"Well, the fans didn't see the fight part. They saw the two well-known actors who also happen to be the main characters of a new upcoming romance movie. Just in the past day alone, we have seen a spike in people looking up the movie."

They both look nervous about what's about to come and I'm still lost but that's when it clicks.

No, they can't ask this.

My face drops as Elliot says the following words that I was dreading "We want you two to go into a PR relationship."

"Nope, not happening"

"Are you guys nuts?"

Harry and I both shared our concerns very quickly after being mentioned. We look at each other with disgust as we both look back at the directors in front of us nervously standing in place

"You guys can't think this is logical? I mean you see how we act on set? Now you want us to go out in public together?" I am very quick to voice how I feel about this. I barely want to spend time with him the little time I have to do so in the day but now you're telling me I have to willingly hang out with him?

"Yeah, for once I have to agree with Elsie. This is probably one of the worst ideas you have had yet." Harry looks like he's going to blow a fuse and I'm not too far behind him at this point.
