Chapter Seven

Elsie POV

January 20th, 2021

Waking up this morning was rough. Even though we got back to the hotel not long after we decided to mess with the paparazzi and I immediately fell asleep it still feels like I got zero hours of sleep. Looking at the clock I see that I still have two hours until I have to get to set so I take my time getting ready. But as I get ready I can't help it as my mind is still circling images from last night. Last night was definitely an adventure, to say the least, but I'm glad I had fun with it. If I was angry and tense the whole time it wouldn't have worked. Not to mention this kiss was amazing in itself. Harry managed to find the middle in attacking my face and not doing enough and I just followed his lead. Even though I have kissed him before for movie scenes nothing will ever compare to this. It was definitely not something I was going to forget very easily.

As I'm finishing up my hair for the day, the music on my phone is interrupted by my ringtone ringing out through the room. Getting up from the chair I go to where my phone is plugged in to see a facetime call from Connor. Considering it's only five o'clock over there my mom sense immediately picks up because Connor is never up this early. I quickly take my thumb and slide it across the screen to accept and I'm met with a very tired C and a teary face Halle and my heart immediately breaks. "M-momma?" It's very evident from her voice and face that she has been crying and it's now that I feel the worst about leaving her.

"My love, what's wrong?"

"I h-had bad dream. Monster chasin' me."I see Connor wipe the tears that are rapidly falling from her eyes and I'm hoping that he's giving her the tightest hug that I can't see.

"She came into our room screaming her head off in tears and I immediately jumped awake. I was afraid she fell off the bed and I didn't hear."

"I woke up too, you know. Not to mention she came to me first." A voice from outside of the camera says and I give them a slight laugh because I know Jake is trying to make Halle laugh which he succeeds in. "Come here Pumpkin" As he says this I watch as she slides off Connor and from what I assume Halle goes into Jake's arms. I can still hear her silent cries and it just breaks my heart even more.

"How about you try going back to sleep, Hals? You can call me when you wake up again and I'll make sure to answer." Connor moves the camera into Jake's hand and he shows me Halle cuddled into his chest nodding her head. "Momma loves you so much my girl and I'll talk to you after."

"I love you too Momma."

"Sweet dreams Hals."

Jake hands the phone back over to Connor who gets up out of the bed but not before reassuring Jake that he would be right back. Walking to wherever he was going he opened a door before closing it again and turning on a light and placing the phone on the counter. "What the fuck were those pictures Elsie Reid?" I look off to the side forgetting I forgot to tell him about what was suggested for Harry and me to do. "Nuh uh, Look at me. Why are there photos everywhere of you and Harry making out? Last I heard you were pissed off at him beyond belief and not to mention you hate him!" Connor shouts at me as quietly as possible and I smirk because it's kind of funny.

"Connor, what am I in?"

"A fake relationship?" He says, confusion still laced with his early morning voice.

"So why in the lord's name would that be a real kiss? It was for PR so we could try and get away from the mistake that Harry made the night before. For what it was worth though, it's working because people can't seem to stop talking about this kiss C. I hate to say it but the relationship is working out in our favor."

A look of disgust runs over his face and I can't help but laugh, "Don't ever refer to it as an actual relationship El. It's disgusting to think about." I giggle at Connor's face as he lets down his facade and gives me a smirk.
