Our LA shopping excursion continued for the rest of the day. Brenton's mom looked at her phone and realized we had to go back. We had just about done all of Rodeo Drive. "Alright girls we should head back, it's getting pretty late. Sam we have to get you back for your date."

My date? How did she know about mine and Brenton's dinner? He must of told her.

"Sam you didn't get anything!" Stephanie said.

"Oh, yeah. I just.. I didn't see anything I liked."

"What? No way. I saw you spotting that necklace at Tiffanys." Kate said.

"It was very pretty. I just find it stupid to spend thousands of dollars on a necklace." Being raised with a mother who could hardly pay for groceries to supply a family of 3 for 1 week, versus people who just had money always coming to them from one place or another.

"I like you." Brenton's mom said, "You have good morals. Your parents raised you right." she said smiling at me.

My parents? No. My mother.. but I guess my mom did something right with keeping my father from me, I did have good morals.. I guess?

"Thanks!" I wasnt sure exactly how to or what to respond.

"Well, let's go!" Kate said.

We arrived back to the house. I ran upstairs and looked for something nice to wear to dinner. I hadn't packed anything extravagant.. I just packed an old Sherri Hill dress that I wore to some college dance I went to with my old boyfriend, and I was saving that for the premiere. I kept digging through my luggage hoping to find something. I had to look like royalty, these people knew how to dress and well.

"Sam you almost ready?" Brenton said calling upstairs.

"Almost..." FUCK. I had to pick something and QUICK. I grabbed this summer short dress. It was black with a flowy skirt and black lace. I put on some earrings and black flats and ran downstairs.

"Hot." Brenton said looking at me.

"Dude she not hot, she beautiful." Derek said hitting him on the head. I laughed.

"Sorry, I meant beautiful" he said winking at me.

"Ready?" I asked.

"Let's go!" he said meeting me at the bottom of the stairs reaching for my hand.

We got to the restaurant and sat down. I realized that in the 3 months we've known each other that everytime we went to a restaurant something bad would happen, hopefully this time would be better.

"I love you." he said smiling at me. I smirked at him.. I wasn't sure what he was up to, but I played along.

"What's the smirk for?"

"Nothing.. I just wanted to." I said, he laughed at me.

"So, how did you like LA?

"It was everything I pictured it being.. which I love."

"Good, did you get anything for yourself?" he asked.

"Umm, no I didn't see anything I liked." I felt bad lying to him, but I didn't spend any of the money he gave me because it wasn't mine to spend, it was his.

"Sam, that's a bunch of bull."

"Brenton."

"No, no Sam I know you. You circle clothes you want in all of your magazines, you have all these clothing websites bookmarked on your computer. You have a ton of clothes pictures on your phone, under the category "Wishlist". Why didn't you buy anything?"

"It's not my money to spend. It's yours. You already flew me here on a private jet and are paying for dinner. That's enough."

"Not for me it's not. Come on!" he grabbed my hand and pulled me out of my chair.

"Brenton, wait, we didn't even eat yet."

"Come on." he said pulling me out of the restaurant.

We got in the car, I was extremely confused and little scared.

"Brenton what are you doing?"

"What was something you saw today that you absolutely loved?"

"I don't know."

"TELL ME."

"A necklace!" It was the first thing that came to my mind.

"A necklace from where?"

"Tiffanys."

He took a sharp turn down a street.

"Where are you going?"

"Tiffanys."

"Brenton no. No Tiffanys."

"Shhh.." he said reaching to put his hand over my mouth.

We pulled up to the side of Tiffanys. He ran over and opened my door. We walked inside together. It felt just like I was Holly and he was Fred from Breakfast at Tiffanys.

"Now you get whatever you want. I mean it. Consider it me, paying for part of your outfit for tonight."

"You don't even know if it'll go."

"Just pick it." I walked over to the jeweler and asked for the cheapest necklace in the store. He pulled out this little necklace that had a heart and it said "RETURN TO TIFFANYS" Brenton walked over.

"How much is this necklace sir?"

"85 dollars." the man said.

"85 DOLLARS?!" I screamed, that's so expensive. The man gave me a look like I was crazy.

"Do you have a budget m'am" the man asked.

"No, we don't have a budget. If your going to sell us the cheapest thing in the store, why don't you give us a telephone dialer." Brenton said giving the man the same attitude he gave me.

I couldn't believe he said a telephone dialer! He knew Breakfast at Tiffanys too. That was my ALL TIME favorite movie.. EVER.

"She saw a necklace earlier that she loved, Sam can you describe it to him?"

I looked at him, giving him the I can't believe your doing this look.

"Umm, sure. It was very simple, it had a princess cut diamond right in the middle and it was on a sterling silver chain. That's all I remember."

"Do you remember the size of the diamond?"

"Small."

"How small?"

"I don't know, not big."

"I think I know what one your talking about, follow me!" he took us upstairs and pulled out the exact necklace.

"Thats it." I said running my hand up and down the chain. It was gorgeous, I just couldn't stop staring at it.

"We'll take it." Brenton said.

"Brenton." I said grabbing his hand. "Look I love you to death, but are you fucking crazy? Do you have any idea how much that necklace will cost? They have one that looks just like it at Macys back in NYC, and its not diamond but it looks just like it. Let's get that instead!"

"Sam, are you stupid. You love that necklace, I'm buying it for you like it or not, and you'll be wearing it tonight.. like it or not."

I couldn't even argue with him. There was no changing his mind.

"Alrighty sir. It's all packaged up! That'll be one thousand and seven hundred forty one dollars, and twelve cents."

"Here." he handed him his credit card.

"Brenton that necklace cost my house in New York's rent."

"Here." Brenton handed me the bag. "It's beautiful just like the one who will be wearing it."

"Thank you.."
