**BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP**
"Uhhh.." I groaned. I rolled over to turn off that alarm system that my dad set.. and accidentally fell out of my bed. "AHHH!" My dad heard me slam on the floor..
"Sam?" he paused. "Sam darling are you up?" I could barley move.. with all my force in trying to speak all that came out was a groan.
"Sam?" he must not have heard me. I wasn't surprised due to the fact that the house had a sound/alarm system for you to be able to talk to one another because it was so large.
He knocked on my door. "Sam sweetie can I come in?"
"Yeah dad." he opened my door. "What was all the noise?"
"I just fell out of bed.. thats all."
"Are you alright?" he asked helping me up.
"Yeah."
"You hungry? I can make you breakfast?"
"What time is it?"
"3"
"Dad! We have our dinner tonight!"
"We dont have to go if you don't want to!" It was so nice to have someone ask me what I wanted.
"No! Let's go!" I said patting his hand. I could tell he still wanted to go. I wasn't going to distance myself from my father.
" Okay!" he said smiling as he exited my room. I got out of bed. Why did my head hurt so much? I really couldn't remember any reason on why it would. I threw my hair up in a bun and walked downstairs.
"Good morning!" my sister said acting like she was my best friend. Then I remembered last night. Ugh Fuck you I thought in my head.. a backstabber, a liar. I was so mad at her. But my dad was in the room.. I couldn't act like I hated her.. even though at that moment I did. "Hi." I said not even looking at her. I grabbed a banana out of the fridge and started for the stair.
"You aren't eating down here?" dad asked.
"No. ..I.. I.. I have to call Caroline." it felt good to say her name. It felt like old times.
"It's like 2am there.." my sister said.
I looked directly at her "Good! She'll be up!"
I walked up the stairs.. laid down on my bed. I just wanted to be alone.. but then again maybe.. and I did want to talk to her. I needed to call her. I missed my best friend.
Caroline picked up the phone. I told her about Brenton and she said that she approved via what she heard. I always needed my friends seals of approval for me to date any boy. She asked for his full name that way she could creep on him to make sure he wasnt a serial killer.. I told her his name was Brenton Thwaites. She said that when she came home from her friends house she would do her "Caroline Invesigation". I laughed I don't think she'll have much luck.
My sister knocked on my door. "I got to go! Let me know what ya find on the boy." She laughed! "Alrighty! Will do! Love ya!" "Love you too!"
"Come in." I said.
My sister peeked her head in the door. "What do you want?" I asked.
"I'm sorry. I didn't think it meant this much to you where I had to keep it a secret!" she said.
"It's not even that it mattered that much to me! It's that you told mom after I deliberatly told you not to."
"Why wouldn't you want to tell mom? You like him right!? And since when are you and dad besties?"
I had to play it safe.. "He's my dad too Chels. I love him too. Why are you and Chloe besties? You don't see me asking you all these questiions."
She started backing off. "Im.. Im sorry. I'll go."
"Chelsea wait." she stopped in the door way.
"I don't want to fight with you. I can forgive you if you can forgive me."
"Deal!" she said and ran over and hugged me.
My dad interrupted us. "Aw my girls together!" We laughed.
"Hi dad." Chelsea said.
"Sam I forgot to ask when do you want to go out for dinner?"
"Umm, 6ish?"
"Sounds great!"
Six O' Clock came around.. I was dressed in a new dress that my sister picked out at the mall last night. My dad drove us to a nice little place in the city. I forgot the name of it but it was very high end. It reminded me of the Plaza in NYC.
"So you want to tell me where you really were last night?"
I put down my glass of water "What?" I said.
"Sam. I was a teenager once. You don't think I realized the different clothes?"
I smiled. I was impressed he paid that much attention. He was doing his job as my father.
"So where were you?" he asked smirking.
"Out with a friend.." I couldn't tell him Brenton. I was too nervous.
"With that boy?" he asked.
"What boy?"
"Dont play stupid! That boy that came over to the house. What was his name? Brenton!"
"Yes dad, that boy."
"You like him? Don't you?"
I started blushing.
"Sam its okay to like a boy. Or even date one your almost 20. I think your grown up enough. Does your mother not want you dating?"
At that point and time I didn't really care what my mother thought of my love life.
"Mom doesn't care. And I am dating.. I am.. dating.. dating him.."
"Oh.." my father said with a slight sound of shock but mostly approvval. "Well he seemed very nice, but if he does anything wrong I will kick his ass!"
"He won't dad.. I promise. He's sweet and nice and thoughtful and honest.. and"
"Alright Sam haha, I don't need to know how dreamy he is"
We both laughed. The rest of the night was pretty fun. Afterward we went and got ice cream. It was so much fun. I felt like I had the dad that was in my life for the past 19 years that I pretended to have. I missed him and I loved him. We got home late my dad tried to carry me up the stairs because I was so tried, but he couldn't. He guided me up the stairs and tucked me. I felt never more at home, my life was finally coming together, the way I had always dreamed.
