Magnus has already prepared the guest room. The freshly made bed tempted Alec, for he was very tired. Magnus helped him unpack. He showed him where to find everything and let him rest for a while. Alec was grateful for this, for he was so exhausted. He sat down on the edge of the bed and tried to take off his shirt to change into a more comfortable one. Magnus meanwhile leaned against the doorjamb and watched Alec.

"Can I help you?"

"No, I'll manage." Alec said as he stuck out the tip of his tongue, concentrating on moving relatively painlessly. Magnus didn't move. Alec continued to tug at his shirt with little success. He looked at Magnus, gave him a grin, then said with puppy eyes.

"Please help me."

Magnus walked over, carefully pulled the shirt up and pulled it over Alec's head. Then he pushed aside the clean T-shirt that was next to Alec and went to his room.

"This will make it easier. It's clean, I don't wear it because I sleep naked." - Magnus said, causing Alec's eyes to widen. - But don't worry, I'll put on pajamas while you're here." he added immediately.

"Thank you Magnus." Alec said as he buttoned up his pajamas, then looked down at the shirt, which had the words "Why not Both?" in glittery purple and pink letters on the front. Alec grinned at Magnus, who grinned back.

"I only have these one button pajamas...if that's okay."

"It's perfect. Thank you." Alec said, then laid down. Magnus stepped up to him and tucked him in, then without noticing, gently stroked his hair.

"Sweet dreams". Then, realizing what he had done, he suddenly withdrew his hand and walked out. Alec called after him and Magnus turned back in the doorway.

"Thank you Magnus. Thank you for everything."

"You're welcome." said Magnus, with a bittersweet smile on his lips, and then he walked out.

Alec couldn't sleep, his mind was racing. First, why he felt Magnus had changed. Somehow he had become more distant. Then he realized. It's all been going on since he met Camille. Magnus hasn't flirted with him since then. Then the realization hit him in the face. Magnus was flirting with him. Was he really flirting with him? No, he couldn't have, he knew he had a girlfriend. Magus is just so direct in his personality. He reassured himself. But something had changed. He need to talk to him, but now, above all, he needed to rest. His eyelids grew heavy, he slowly gave in to his fatigue and fell asleep. It was late afternoon when he woke up. He was fresh and rested. And hungry. Pleasant smells tickled his nose, awakening his long lost appetite. Slowly he sat up in bed. He managed quite well. The pain was not so sharp. He tried to reach for his cane, but as he tried to reach it, he pushed it down, and it landed with a loud thud.

"Damn." he hissed between his teeth. He took a few deep breaths and stood up without it. Magnus then knocked on the door and asked outside.

"Alexander, can I come in? Is everything all right?"

"Come in, yes, I just dropped that stupid cane."

Magnus poked his head in, and was surprised to see Alec standing up alone and heading for the door. Slowly, carefully, but alone.

"See? I can do it. Slowly, but I can. Especially when I wake up to such delicious smells. What is it? "

"I cooked for you. Healthy proper food. Need help? Want to hold on to me?" Magnus asked when he saw Alec hissing in pain from time to time.

"No, I have to learn to do that. I can't keep calling you every time I want to take a few steps. What have you been cooking? It smells heavenly." Alec walked slowly to the kitchen counter and leaned against it.
