Smiley yawned. He was extremely tired after that day's events. Victor wasn't next to him (for once in his life) because he had taken the dogs out to stretch out their legs and use the bathroom.

10 minutes passed. Still no Victor.

20 minutes. 30 minutes. Smiley was starting to get worried. It usually didn't take this long. He could've left to 1065 Poison Ave. (his actual house) already but he didn't like leaving without letting Victor know. Then out of nowhere Victor appeared.

"OH MY GOD, WHERE WERE YOU?" Smiley yelled. He instantly regretted it though because Victor looked drunk. Like really drunk. Which was odd for him to get like that, but that didn't matter to Smiley. All he knew was that he had to take care of Victor until he was sober enough to move around the house by himself. Smiley felt like something was off though, besides the fact that his boss was drunk he felt like Victor was planning something. What sparked Smiley's suspicions? Well, Victor was muttering things under his breath, and for some reason he was keeping his distance. Smiley just stared at him. When Victor caught notice of Smiley's staring he just flashed a smile and looked away. This flustered Smiley a little for an unknown reason.

"Hey...Smiley." Victor said.

"Before you say anything, are you okay?" Smiley asked, "And be honest."

"Oh! Of course I'm okay, love!" Victor seemed genuinely happy. Smiley didn't want to ruin the mood.

"I have a question for you too, Smiley. I was outside and I thought I would ask you now. I wanted to know if you...wanted to...I don't know how to explain this. Like stay with me for the rest of your life? Not like marriage because I know how you feel about that. But...I don't know anymore, I just don't want to be alone anymore." Smiley was frozen. He felt like someone had put a weight on him. As much as he tried to speak him just couldn't bring himself to say anything.

"What do you mean?" Smiley  asked. Again, Smiley doesn't like or understand to concept of marriage. Like why buy an expensive ring just to prove that you're dating somebody? And why get married to someone in general?

'I mean...I want us spend the rest of our lives together." he paused, "I know I don't treat you the best but I'm truly sorry afterwards," Which was true, he always heard Victor crying after the episodes of violence.

"I love you so much. You mean the world to me."

Smiley just stood there. He didn't know how to respond to Victor's question. On one hand, he figured that Victor had some sort of feelings for him. But the other part of him didn't want to believe Victor. He thought that this was a way for Victor to hurt him in a way.

"I...I don't know if I feel the same way, Victor." Smiley admitted. "I'm so sorry"

Victor first instinct was to scream at Smiley for his response but he managed to stay quiet.

"Are you mad at me? I'm sorry! I just don't know. Please don't be mad!" Smiley started to panic. Victor didn't want Smiley to panic but he couldn't really control that.

"Hey it's okay. I wasn't going to do anything to you. I was just asking a question. I have no motivation to hurt you. I promise." Smiley still didn't stop panicking. Victor then got a call from Liam, his brother. He went to another room and started talking to him. Smiley was left alone. again. After Victor and his brother ended their call he came back to the dinning room.

"How do you feel?" Victor asked. Smiley just gave him a thumbs up, but refused to look at Victor.

"Are you upset by my response" Smiley asked.

"Of course not, it's fine that you don't feel the same. I honestly don't care" Victor was lying. He was absolutely heartbroken, but he wasn't going to admit that though.
