Before he knew it, Smiley was in a room recovering from the operation. Victor wasn't allowed in, per Smiley's wishes. Smiley didn't want an avalanche of questions from Victor so he asked the nurses to tell him to stay out. Victor felt like he should've been in there with Smiley, but he wasn't going to fight with the staff about that. Besides he was too tired to do or say anything to anyone, as long as Smiley was in the hospital bed and not the morgue Victor wasn't that worried. 30 minutes of pacing around paid off because Victor was finally admitted to Smiley's room. Smiley looked so tired but once he saw Victor in the doorway he instantly lit up and smiled. Victor did notice that Smiley's breathing was still too short for his liking.

"Victor! I missed you. Sorry I didn't let you in earlier, I just wanted some time alone." Smiley said. He was awfully happy around Victor and for some reason that bothered him. Victor just associated Smiley's happiness with the anesthesia because there was no way that Smiley actually missed him and that he was happy to see Victor.

"It's fine. I don't care." Victor said. He didn't want to believe that Smiley really wanted to see him even though it was one step closer to making Victor truly happy.

"Are you okay? Did something happen?" Smiley was confused. He was awaiting Victor to be happy to see that Smiley survived, but instead was met with a uninterested attitude.

"I'm fine."

"No you're not. Just tell me." Smiley wasn't about to give up. He wanted to know what was wrong with Victor. He wanted to help him feel better.

"I said I'm fine. Stop asking." Victor was getting irritated. He wanted Smiley to stop being so nosey.

"Tell me! I wanna help you!" Smiley was getting frustrated with Victor's stubbornness.

"You know what? You should've just died. You're so annoying. You literally drain my energy every single day and you don't even care. All you do is demand from me and all I ask of you is to love me but you can't do that. Can you?" Victor finally reached his limit but he immediately regretted it when he looked at Smiley.

"I knew that accepting the offer was a bad idea but you promised me that you would take care of me and love me. Not once did you say that I have to love you in return. You're nothing without me and you know it. If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't be here. You would be in jail. I have saved your ass from law enforcement so many times and this is how you repay me? And I do love you, you just scare me so much that I feel like I can't even say it to you." Smiley was crying at this point. He couldn't wrap his head around the fact that Victor was only using him. Everyone in his life told him that was the case but he didn't want to believe him because Victor promised to love him.

Victor just stared. He didn't know what to say. He knew what he was in the wrong but didn't want to admit it, he didn't want to seem weak.

"Even if we don't last through today...I'm so sorry for treating you the way that I do." And with that he left the room. Smiley was left confused and upset. If he just stopped asking then they wouldn't have gotten into a fight. The tears wouldn't stop coming down, and he had the urge to call Helena to come get him. Or he could run away. But wouldn't that make Victor sad and alone? No, he told me that he wanted me dead basically. Smiley thought. It was 10:47, Smiley was tired and didn't want to deal with people so he decided to go to sleep early. Victor didn't have anywhere to sleep and his mind was overthinking more than ever. He was worried that Smiley would find a way to kill himself and that it would be all Victor's fault. So he spent his night roaming the streets of Sochi, Russia. They both wanted to apologize for what they said but both knew that it was not going to fix the damage that happened. So they gave each other a week of space and when they reunited  things would be so much more tense.
