Nina's eyes shot up to meet lesso's, the redhead leaning down to match Nina's height as the woman was crouched down.
" what?"
" hort told me you have a crush on me, is that true?" Nina backed away, standing up straight as her eyes raced around the room in search for an exit.
" no, I had one on you a while ago though." She made up an excuse, lesso chuckling.
" I'm not sure if you're that good with time, I'm sure you still have one on me, don't you? Darling." She grabbed Nina's wrist, placing her cane on one of the desks they passed and pushing her up the wall.
Nina pushed away all the pain she felt from this morning, like she always did, now focused on lesso and lesso only as her cheeks reddened and her mind turned to mush.
" I-"
" you do." Lesso grinned wickedly, leaning down and ghosting her lips over Nina's.
Nina fell into silence, her mind racing with what if's, one especially highlighted.
Lesso practically had danger stamped onto her in bright red ink, and Nina was sure she'd just play around with her then leave.

But, maybe that wasn't that bad.
Maybe lesso needed it, maybe she needed it.
No, she wanted someone to take her out of her misery, her doom to be standing behind, but not next to, lesso.
Maybe she just needed someone other than lesso to admire her, to worship her like a goddess, so that she could finally move on.

Her thoughts of getting over this silly crush flew out of the window when lesso kissed her.

Lesso, the dean of evil, has kissed her.
Not just because of a trial, where they needed to kiss to get back, not because she was drunk.
Because she wanted to?

Nina's eyes slowly fluttered close, relishing in the feeling of love as lesso softly kissed her.
She knew it was wrong, but she also knew they were true love.
Lesso eventually pulled away, nina looking up at her with wide eyes.
" what?"
" you kissed me." Nina mumbled, still staring at lesso who laughed.
" yes, yes I did." Lesso smiled at nina, who melted into a puddle at the adorable sight.

A squeal rang through their ears, lesso turning around after putting nina down to face dovey.
She was grinning like crazy, pointing at the two as she squealed.
" they're together! They're finally-" lesso used her magic to push the woman out of the room, locking the door after her.
They heard dovey rush away, probably to tell the others, as lesso turned to nina again.
" I guess it's official now." Lesso smiled once again, which faltered when she saw nina looking at her doubtfully.
" what?"
" are you sure we should be together?" Lesso never really experienced heartbreak, but if this is what it felt like, she didn't want to.
" what do you mean?" Nina's eyes slowly started to water.
" you never loved me back, how come you suddenly do? I don't trust you, nor do I trust any of your little servants you call students. You'll just play with my heart again, leaving me to try catch your attention for years before you'll even try talking to me! We were best friends Leonora! But you and your stupid obsession over Rafal ruined everything I've ever believed! I believed in true love, but because Rafal said so, you leave me after kissing me! You don't know how that feels Leonora, so please, let me be!" Nina quickly dukes under lesso's arms, unlocking the door with her magic and running out.

She left lesso, alone, in a dark classroom.

" how's the new relationship goi-"
" don't Clare. I'm not in a relationship with that carrot-looking-"
" what? What happened?! No! But I just got five bucks! Nina be in a relationship with lesso." Dovey's rollercoaster of emotions made Nina laugh, but she soon restarted packing her shoulder bag.
" where are you going?" Nina smiled at dovey, dovey grabbing onto the bag.
" I'm leaving for a while, I just- I just need some time away from lesso to get over her." Dovey scoffed, looking at Ilay who was already on the bridge that could be seen on the balcony.
" no you're not, you're staying here! What about your students?"
" there's a second teacher for adventuring, I just need some time back in my old adventurer days to forget again. Maybe I'll write some more drunken letters to Leonora." Dovey's grip on the bag loosened, and as soon as she did Nina dashed out onto the balcony, jumping from it and into the gap between the two schools.
Dovey rushed to see if Ilay would catch her, waving her off as the lion caught her and flew past.
