Chapter eleven

" where is she?" Lesso stormed into dovey's office, seeing the woman looking out of the window.
" she went back to adventuring, weirdo." She muttered the last word to herself, sitting down into her chair as lesso stalked up to her.
" what?!" She hissed, gripping the sides of the desk.
" well, after that kiss, something happened, I'm saying you did something, and she left to go back to killing S-classed monsters for a living. Call it a break." Dovey shrugged, having already come to terms with it.
Lesso frowned, her knuckles turning white as she stood shaking.
" she what?"
" went back to adventuring and killi-"
" I HEARD YOU THE FIRST TIME CLARISSA!" Lesso yelled, burying her hands into her hair, tugging it.
" and I didn't do anything!" She fell down into the chair in front of dovey's desk, running her hand down her face.
" you sure?"
" yes!"
" then what happened?" Dovey leaned her chin on her hand, looking at lesso.
" she told me I would just play with her heart and then ran out! How dare she!" Lesso raged, clenching her hands into fists.
" that seems harsh."
" it is harsh clarissa!"

In the few weeks of Nina's absence, lesso had grown colder than normal, more irritated at everything around her.

When eventually the woman came back, she hadn't changed all that much, just was less hyper.

" hey Clare." Nina appeared in the doorpost of dovey's office, not noticing the redhead that was seated in the corner.
" you're back!" Dovey ran to hug her, Nina smiling at her.
" just landed, how's my class going? I got this-"
" why did you leave so quickly." Nina's head shot towards the sound, lesso sitting there leaned back with her cane across her legs and a mug of coffee in her hands.
" I needed a break from being near you all of the time."
" you're doing as if I broke your heart, and besides-" Nina cut her off, dovey silently leaving her own office.
" you broke my heart, so many times! Do you not realize lesso?" Lesso rolled her eyes, placing her mug down and standing up.
" I do realize that, but it's been so long since then." She slowly approached Nina, who stood frozen in her place as lesso circled her like a hawk.
" and you do remember the trial, do you not?" Nina nodded, lesso grasping her chin to make her look at her.
" then you know you can't escape this." Nina gulped, looking up at lesso.
" you escaped it?"
" I didn't, else I wouldn't have kissed you." Nina sighed, stepping closer and hugging lesso, who retracted her hand.
" all good?" Lesso questioned, running her fingers through Nina's short hair.
" all good." Nina pulled away slightly, smiling at lesso before pecking her lips.
The redhead smirked, grabbing Nina's wrist and dragging her out of the room, past dovey, and to Nina's dorm.
She laid down onto the bed, pulling Nina on top of her and wrapping her arms securely around her waist.
" don't leave, ever again." Nina smiled, then decided to have some fun with her.
" what's the magic word?"
" you're never leaving again."
" I was thinking please?"

" ....please?"
