Well I got a crow I wanna pick with you

Just like last time when the feathers flew

You're runnin' wild a-kickin' up your heels

A-leavin' me home with a hand full of bills

Keith's face fell and settled into a glare. The distaste in his expression told me he didn't take a liking to the name Draco Malfoy. Keith always had a way of making me feel less than sometimes. I know he doesn't do it on purpose. I'm not one to care what others think, but Keith is my brother.

"Why?" he said as if Malfoy was some kind of scum. He must've had a run-in with Draco before. Obviously, I met the boy and understood to a degree why Keith seemed a bit annoyed

"Well, I talked to him earlier today and- I don't know, he seemed like someone I could be friends with. That sounds weird but I need friends that aren't Liam, Ace, Camilla and you," I explained with a shrug. I scrunched my nose and my lips were in a thin line. Talking with Keith was hard; I constantly felt like I had to over explain myself because I felt like the younger Slytherin boy was going to judge me.

"One: I am not your friend. And Two: he's a pathetic git."

I bit my lip subconsciously. Maybe talking to Keith wasn't a good idea. I probably came to him at the wrong time. He was reading after all. "...right, sorry," I mumbled. "-I just wanted to ask you if there is something you know he likes- or things about him, y'know."

"God you're weird, Quinn. You realize you sound like a stalker, right?" he scoffed, his eyes not even focused on me. He did have a point. Maybe I was being weird. Although, that's just how I am. I've always been outgoing and social, so this wasn't odd. Keith, on the other hand, was quite the opposite.

"Right, yes stalker vibes. Can you just answer my question, Keith?" I said impatiently. The more I had to sit here and keep still was aggravating. I didn't not like to sit here and be insulted by my brother.

"I don't know. I think he likes quidditch or something. He always hangs out with that one bloke- what's his name? Blaise?" He pondered, his voice so sharp and quiet I could barely hear him. This was irritating.

"I already know he likes quidditch. I was just-" I paused for a moment, huffing in slight annoyance. "-Okay. Keith. I'll leave you alone, if you tell me some of the things he likes. And I don't mean Quidditch. I'm talking about objects and stuff."

My impatience was starting to show through, and I think Keith was toying with it on purpose.

"I thought you wanted to get to know him. Find out for yourself. God," he seethed. I could see his glare through his curly hair and his eyebrows. His head was focused on his cuticles in his lap.

I took a deep breath and granted him a very fake and thin smile. A few moments of silence passed, and I slowly stood from the chair. The legs made a loud noise against the thin carpet, a faint cringe spreading across my face. Keith was being stubborn as always. Although, I guess he was right.

"Well- bye then," I vocalized before clearing my throat. I didn't even get a reply. Honestly, I wasn't expecting one either.

"Wow, Keith is an ass," Camilla scoffed as she opened the door to the Astronomy classroom.

"I know!" I exclaimed, my fingers gripping the strap of my small leather bag. "All I was trying to do was ask about the Draco kid!" Obviously, I was still a bit upset about what happened in the library a day prior.

"You were asking about me?" A very cunning and recently familiar voice said proudly. Oh god. The door opened the rest of the way and there stood the 5'9 blonde boy with his arms crossed.

I paused, my green eyes averting to the taller boy. It wasn't like I was bad-mouthing Draco, but it was still inconvenient. I heard Camilla snort beside me before she strolled away to her seat.

"Uhm- yes I was, actually," I replied, letting my arms fall to my side and slip into my robe pockets.

"Oh? Did I leave that big of an impact on you? Or were you talking shit?" Draco confronted. It was hard to tell what kind of impression Malfoy was leaving with his words because he had a glare on his face, but his tone was boastful and confident.

"You piqued my interest. So, I asked my brother, Keith, about you," I shrugged casually. I wanted to play this off cool because that's just how I was. It was also to hide the small number of nerves from Malfoy hearing me.

"Good god, how many brothers do you have?" he fretted, his eyes widening ever so slightly.

"Glad to see you're paying attention," I winked at him. It wasn't supposed to be flirty, so I hoped he didn't take it that way. Although he might; I knew he was a bit egotistical.

"What? - No. I only remembered you having another brother because he is the beater for your house," he said, playing it off cool.

"Right." I rolled my eyes as I spoke with a sarcastic tone. I smiled after, though; hopefully he understood I was joking. "Besides. You only know of 2 of them. What, do you not have any brothers?" I scoffed but kept a bright and warm smile. I didn't want him to think I was some type of jerk!

"Only 2 of them? You mean you have more siblings?" he let out a breathy chuckle, running his slender fingers through his very sleek hair. "Ah no. I'm an only child actually," he muttered, his eyes averting to a tall boy sitting by himself at a desk. The boy I assumed he was looking at was also a Slytherin. He had black close-cut hair, high cheekbones, and a darker complexion.

I could tell Draco was an only child. And it wasn't because he tended to be a snot sometimes. It was just the body language and the inability to adapt. I noticed he doesn't really like fast change and for someone like me who has 5 siblings, I was used to it by now. I didn't like change either, but I have to deal with it.

"Yes. I have a twin, 2 younger siblings, and two older ones. One of which you have met before," I said proudly, giving off the vibes that I was happy to have so many siblings. "And Keith, is in your house. He's the one I talked to about you," I explained, subconsciously rocking on my heels slightly.

"Well, what did he say then?" Draco pondered, his eyebrow raising ever so slightly.

"Oh well he didn't-"

"Okay class. Make your way to your seats. We have an important new assignment to get started on," Professor Sinistra announced, her voice rather sharp making it quite prominent that we had to listen.

Draco's lips parted as his head turned to look at her. I took the time to leave in order to avoid an awkward shared glance as a goodbye.

"What was that about?" Camilla whispered as I settled into my seat.
