Beomgyu had not left the house for days except to go to the cafe. Because of his shame, he didn't want to face either Soobin or Hueningkai in any way. As he was lying on his bed, he suddenly got up when his phone rang, reached for his phone, and when he realized that Taehyun was calling, he immediately answered it.
"Beommiee how are you? How many weeks have you been not calling at all, I miss you.."
"I'm feeling a little tired these days, Tyun, sorry I couldn't call."
"Hey hey, it's okay, are you okay? What happened?"
Beomgyu took a deep breath.
"I told Soobin that I loved him.."
Beomgyu literally pushed the phone away from his ear as Taehyun started screaming. When Taehyun calmed down, he brought it close to his ear again, a muffled voice coming from the opposite side, which he was sure wasn't Taehyun, frowned.
"Who's next to you?"
Taehyun paused for a few seconds and looked at the body standing next to him.
"There is no one, you know I live alone, Beom."
"Is that so? But I felt like Yeonjun was there for me."
When Yeonjun, who was lying next to Taehyun, started laughing quietly, Taehyun tapped Yeonjun on the shoulder.
"It must have seemed so to you."
"Tyun, I'm not an idiot, let alone my childhood friends, I know you from your voice, from your breathing, next to Yeonjun. But why are you lying that I didn't understand that?"
"Oh, Beom, never mind about that now, we'll talk about it when we get there. What did Soobin say to you when you told him?"
"I walked away from there without him saying anything, and I never saw him after that."
"So you hid so as not to be seen?"
Taehyun laughed lightly as Beomgyu stood silently.
"Why the fuck are you hiding? It's like you've committed a crime. Let him hide from you, trust yourself a little, Beom."
Beomgyu sighed, and just as he was about to say something, his grandmother called him, and he told Taehyun that he would call him later, hung up the phone, and went into the hall. When he saw the body sitting next to his grandmother on the sofa in the living room, he wanted to run to his room, but he knew that his grandmother would be angry with him. He sighed and sat down opposite Soobin, and not once did he touch his gaze to Soobin.
"Why is Soobin here, grandma?"
"Well, I invited him to eat some home-cooked food. Besides, you two were inseparable when you were little."
"We're not that close now.."
"Anyway, I've already prepared dinner, so you two go set the table."
Beomgyu rolled his eyes, stood up and walked towards the kitchen. When he heard the steps coming after him, he sighed and turned to Soobin.
"Beomgyu-"
"Sit quietly here, I'll set the table. You can go to the your house quickly."
When Beomgyu spoke harshly, Soobin's face hung, but he approved of Beomgyu and sat down where Beomgyu showed him. While Beomgyu was taking out the things he was going to place on the table, Soobin couldn't help but speak after a while.
"How long?"
Beomgyu's movements stopped and he slowly turned to Soobin.
"What?"
"How long have you loved me?"
"Does that even matter? I didn't say this to make anything happen, anyway, and I know you have a boyfriend. I said it because I know you'll ask everyone around who I love, and you can pretend I didn't said anything."
Muttering, he took the napkins, chopsticks and spoons in his hand and advanced to the table. Gently placing them, he took out the dishes.
"How can I pretend you didn't tell me?"
Beomgyu took a deep breath and turned to Soobin.
"Forget hyung, forget everything I said to you that day."
"Beomgyu, no matter what happens, you are a very precious person to me, your feelings are very important to me."
"That's exactly why you haven't reached out to me once in 7 years, right?"
A mocking smile formed on Beomgyu's face as he continued his sentence.
"Hyung, I'm not falling for these lies you're telling, "You're important to me," I'm not falling for you, the old Beomgyu is not standing in front of you. Please don't make everything any more difficult by constantly showing up in front of me."
Soobin didn't know what to say, he wasn't lying, Beomgyu was really important to him.
"Beomgyu-"
"Hyung, just shut the fuck up and eat your food quickly and leave. And don't come to our house again, please."
Beomgyu turned around and put the dishes on the plates, then placed the plates on the table and went to the living room, next to his grandmother.
"Come, grandma, the table is set, let's have our dinner."
After helping the old woman to get up, he advanced to the table and sat down on a chair. Soobin, on the other hand, didn't know what to do, he felt extremely bad. He also sat opposite Beomgyu, and after Beomgyu's grandmother sat in the remaining chair, they started eating.
"Aunt and uncle Choi, how did they pass away?"
With the question Soobin asked, Beomgyu squeezed the spoon in his hand hard and raised his stern gaze to Soobin's face.
"That is none of your business, Soobin."
As Soobin swallowed, he turned his gaze to Beomgyu's grandmother, regretting the question he had asked along with the sadness he saw on the old woman's face. While he was eating in silence, he felt that the food did not pass through his throat after a while due to the tense air in the environment. He stood up and looked at Beomgyu's grandmother.
"I'm sorry for the question I asked, I was thoughtless. Thank you, the food has been very nice as always, but I'd better get home."
When Beomgyu's grandmother smiled, he retraced his steps out of the house and headed towards his own house. When he knocked, Hueningkai opened the door with a big smile on his face.
"Welcome~"
Soobin smiled slightly and walked in and wrapped his arms around Huening's body.
"I'm welcomed my darling."
I kind of hate Soobin in this fic lol, he is so stupid
