the pool was quite the popular spot for the party. it cooled them down on the unbearably hot days and kept them busy for hours. everyone enjoyed going to the pool, including the older kids (who'd also be joining them)
upon arrival, dustin (whom came absolutely lathered in sunscreen) and lucas instantly get yelled at by a lifeguard for racing to the diving board. once at the board, they take turns trying to impress a group of girls with their cannonballs
max and mike declare a chicken war against each other and beg you and will to join their teams. but because you'd both much rather watch the fight instead of be in it, max and mike resort to asking steve and eddie
of course both of the boys say yes- with max on steve's shoulders, they're an unstoppable duo but eddie and mike's aggressiveness might just allow them to win
el, who has previously been banned from playing chicken, joins you and will on the sidelines. while you cheer for max and will cheers for mike, el stays in-between because she can't choose who to cheer on
eventually, max and steve win and they totally rub it in mike and eddie's faces. will immediately goes to cheer up mike as soon as mike starts acting like a sore loser
meanwhile- nancy, jonathan, and robin are all chilling on pool chairs watching everyone from afar because they think that public pools are gross and unsanitary (who can really blame them though)
occasionally, nancy being the mom friend that she is, will remind everyone to re-apply their sunscreen. and while everyone's new layer of sunscreen is drying, nancy will urge everyone to drink some water and eat some food
the party groans in agony after learning that they have to wait even longer to get back into the pool because they have to let their food settle (lifeguard's rule)
dustin, who decides not to listen and cannonballs into the deep end, gets thrown into pool jail
meanwhile, steve and billy are having a show off contest by trying to impress some hot sunbathing moms. steve tries to flirt but he fails and of course, billy's body / flirting skills win
after the wait is over, the kids all jump back into the pool and begin to play marco polo per eleven's request (she finds it so fun for some reason)
things start to get chaotic and lucas ends up joining dustin in pool jail for almost drowning mike on accident (lucas: marco, mike: polo)
max is surprsingly but also not surprisngly the third person to be put into pool jail because she flipped off a lifeguard who yelled at her for running
on the sidelines, robin is having her own war with the vending machine because her snack is stuck
at the end of the day, mike is as red as a lobster because he didn't listen to nancy and re-apply his sunscreen and will is hardcore teasing him for it
robin is venting to steve about her vending machine problems and after, steve vents to robin about the fact that he sucks at flirting
you and el tease max about her time serving in pool jail
lucas and dustin make a truce over the cannonball war (they'll totally have another one next time)
and jonathan and nancy are proud of themselves for keeping everyone alive and happy (except mike who is in terrible pain due to his sunburn)
