Chapter 6- Rising again

Third Person:

Doctor: He's awake!

One of the doctors cheered and ran out the room while two nurses ran to the sides of the bed.

Midoriya was waking up. He slowly opened his eyes and it felt magical for everyone in the room. Midoriya had been knocked out for three days.

Nurse: Are you okay? How do you feel?

Midoriya: Uhh... my body hurts...

Nurse: Do you remember anything that happened?

Midoriya: Uh, yeah. I do. I was... hit by a car?

Nurse: Mhm. Your mother should be in here shortly.

Midoriya: My mom is here?

Nurse: Yep. She stays from morning until evening when visiting hours are over.

The nurse backs away from the bed as the doctor walks back in with Inko.

Inko: My baby!!! You're okay! I'm so glad!

Izuku: Hey mom. Sorry if I scared you...

Inko: You gave me a heart attack! But there's no need to be upset. I'm just glad you're safe.

Izuku: Uh... what happened to the person that hit me? Are they okay?

Inko: Nobody's heard from him since the incident. He just disappeared. Everyone who knew him hasn't heard from him since the day after.

Izuku: Oh.

Inko: Everyone assumed he ran away. But, I'm glad you're safe.

Izuku just smiles and nods at his mom.

Inko: You've got to thank that girl who called. If it weren't for her, you'd probably be in worse condition.

Izuku: Girl?

Inko: When you were hit, a girl nearby called the hospital. She also tried to make sure your wounds weren't getting worse.

Izuku: Oh. How nice. Do you know her name so you can tell me?

Inko: Sure! Her name is Ochaco Uraraka!

...

Izuku just stares at her for a second. Then he slowly turned his head towards the window.

Izuku: Of course she did...

Inko: ..?

Izuku: Sorry! I'll be sure to tell her thanks.

Inko smiled and stayed the whole day. After she left Izuku stared at his hands in his bed.

Uraraka was being nice... she wasn't acting like how she did when she still had me. Why did I think she was?

He didn't want to think about it too much so Midoriya went to sleep.

~Timeskip~

I can't believe I'm doing this.

It's been five days later. Midoriya has been discharged. Inko wanted Izuku to thank her in person so she's forcing her son to go to her. Uraraka isn't in the dorms currently so Midoriya had to go to her address.

This is the address Uraraka sent me. It doesn't look anything like her house though? Maybe it's a relatives...

Midoriya sighs and knocks on the door. Someone walks up and opens it.

Uraraka: Hey Deku! What's up?

Midoriya: ...I just wanted to thank you for saving my life. According to my mom and the hospital staff that took care of me, you were the reason I made it to the hospital as soon as I did. So thanks.

Uraraka: Oh you're welcome! I'd do anything to help you! But, you didn't have to come all the way here to thank me.

Midoriya: Well I wanted to. Saving someone from death is a pretty big deal.

Uraraka: I guess it is. Do you want to come inside?

Midoriya: No thanks, I won't be staying long. See ya!

Uraraka: Bye!

Midoriya gets off the stairs and walks back home.

It wouldn't hurt to follow him... right?

Uraraka closes the doors. When she reopens them, she has an outfit that says "I'm going to the park" when it's really, "I'm going to go stalk my boyfriend."

Uraraka follows her crush making sure he returns safely. Once he makes it back, she return to her grandma's house.

Grandmaraka: Where did you go sweetie?

Uraraka: I was just checking up on a friend. Sorry, I should've said something.

Grandmaraka: That's fine. I also was scared if Himari had to travel alone.

Uraraka just blankly stared at her grandmother who just smiled.

Uraraka: O-Oh!

Grandmaraka: You can never be sure your friends will be okay. Especially if they just got into an accident.

Uraraka: Y-Yeah... you can't...

Grandmaraka: I'm going to go label the flower pots. You check on the food.

Uraraka nodded as Raka left.

How did she know?! Did she see me leave? No... I don't think she did. Even if she did... how did she figure it was my crush, Izuku?

Uraraka didn't want to think about it too much so she turned around and did what her grandmother requested.
