Chapter 24- Prepare for the Interrogation

Third Person:

The UA killer is one the students at this school?!

That's what everyone was thinking. Almost everyone. Uraraka and Midoriya weren't worried at all. That was until Midnight continued her speech.

Midnight: There's a police officer with the quirk to get anyone to tell the truth. He's going to interview you all and finally figure out who the murderer is.

Midoriya and Uraraka both internally gasped. Now they were in trouble.

A quirk that forces us to answer questions? If me and Uraraka get interviewed... we're screwed! Everything will know. They'll find out that we have something to do with some of the deaths at UA. How do we avoid this?

Midnight: You'll all be interviewed in half an hour. That's when the team will arrive. All of you will be interviewed in your seating order to ensure fairness. Now you all have to sit and wait here. Don't try to leave the area unless you need to your business in the bathroom.

I've seen Miss Midnight so serious before, I thought. I guess that's because of UA's current situation I put it in. I can't get interviewed!

I sat down on a space on the couch. I was upset and slowly becoming stressed.

I looked around and saw some students crying while other looked down upset.

I was more surprised than upset. I knew I I had to keep my eyes on Todoroki but I didn't expect him to die so soon. Especially before his project was announced. There have been deaths at UA that weren't caused by me. Yaoyorozu wanted to blame Deku but there's no way it's him. He could never. But I can't admit that I am a potential suspect.

If there's another killer at UA, then it's probably following the same pattern as me. I mainly targeted females while this other killer is after males.

I try to shake off the feeling but it won't go away. I need to find out who the other killer is.

Midnight walked into the middle of the room and held papers in her hands.

Midnight: These papers have your names in order (Japanese Alphabetical Order). They will tell you what order you'll all be called in.

Midnight hands everyone a sheet. It's double sided.

I sigh when I see where my name is, but I'm internally screaming inside.

Third Person:

Two officers stood in front of a table in a room. Nezu was across from them, looking at them with concern.

In between the officers was the chief of the police. He had a smile on his face but his mind was full of rage.

Chief: When they replaced me with that dog, I was flattered. He raged at your second UA incident. He was fired and I took his place. I am as angry as we was then, right now. My face doesn't show it, my voice barely does too. But my head right now, is slowly burning into flames.

The new chief put his hands down on the table.

Chief: Do you know, how long it took me to find a cop or detective, with abilities like Lillian? When it came to interviews, she was the cop we went to. Now, because of your shitty school system, we didn't have a fucking cop who could easily pin down the murderer. Lillian! We needed her! And now you've come to a realization that one of your CRAPPY UA students killed her... and maybe everyone else who died here you- YOU now want to keep, the death of the NUMBER #1 Hero's son a secret from the world, to keep this pathetic school safe.

The chief laughs while clapping his hands.

Chief: Nezu, you make laugh. But that's to cover up the fact that you actually make me sick inside.

Nezu looks at the Chief, barely changing expression.

Chief: This is Mearī. She's the officer with the quirk that'll finally make the killer rat themselves out.

Mearī waves slightly. She didn't show almost any emotion.

Nezu: I understand that you came up with theories about who you think the murderer could be.

Mearī: I have two. They both revolve around this boy.

Mearī showed Nezu a picture of Midoriya.

Nezu: Izuku Midoriya? What does he have to with this?

Chief: We went along with the private investigation with General Studies and the Support Course.

Nezu sighed as Mearī continued.

Mearī: Most 1st year students said he hung out with most of the girls that died in the first four months. They said he also spoke to Rokoshi, who was found dead recently, and he ate lunch next to Chikara, the day he died of poisoning.

Nezu: I see. What about your other theory involving him?

Mearī: I also believe that if he's not the UA killer...

Then he's being framed.

Nezu:...
