[chapter 2]

Figure's pov:

"Come on, They'll probably be happy to know theres more entities in the hotel." Spoke the smaller entity. I nodded as he tugged me forward, hearing him open the library's door and guiding me through. I ducked while exiting the library even though I might've not needed to, better to be safe than sorry.

The atmosphere felt smaller and colder, I listened for a second while he still walked ahead, leading me through each already open door. It didn't sound different, except the fact both our footsteps both didn't echo. All I could hear were Seek's heartbeat and our quiet footsteps. It was odd but exciting finally exiting the same old library I've stayed in for years. God, I've lost count on how many years it's been since that one day I had randomly woke up in the library, only knowing that I were blind, that I spoke English, and knew how to read braille.

I zoned out and continued to think about how I've been in the library for years not knowing that there were other entities out there. I feel like it was a waste staying in there for that long, I really only killed the players because of the fact they would dirty the library. There were no other reason to, so I didn't understand why I would continue killing the players. It was never boring in the library, only books entertaining me. Most books not being in braille, so, really a lot of them were a waste of space for my use.

My thoughts were cut short when I heard a voice and a second heartbeat, Seek had stopped walking. The voice didn't come from Seek, so it must've been a new entity. I straightened up as my heartbeat rose, I was really meeting another entity?

"Hey S- What the?!" said the other entity. The new voice sounded scratchy and shocked. "Oh, Rush. I- This is a new entity I found whilst on a walk. I was taking him around to meet the others." Seek explained before the entity so called Rush could say any other word. I could hear Rush's heartbeat quicken, while Seek handled a steady heartbeat. I noticed that in fact Rush's heartbeat was coming closer, meaning he were approaching us. The entity stopped coming closer.

"Are you blind?" questioned the scratchy voiced entity. Not even a "Hello" or a formal greeting? I nodded as I heard Rush retreat a step. "Oh, um. Well, I'm Rush." The other shorter entity stated awkwardly. "...Figure. I'm Figure." I greeted, letting go of Seek's hand and making a small wave, knowing I probably wasn't facing Rush. I felt so excited, my heartbeat quickening by the second.

"Uh, well, I gotta go meet Ambush somewhere. I'll tell 'em about the new entity." Said Rush, I heard his heartbeat deplete meaning he were walking away, and Seek just said a quiet "Bye," to the leaving entity. "We should go to Halt. He is the leader of us since he were the first to appear in the hotel." I nodded as Seek grasped my hand again. He walked forward leading me to I could only assume the leader, Halt.

(Time skip to when they're in Seek's hallway)

"There's a closet with an entrance to a secret place where most of the entities hang out in and sleep in. I don't sleep there, though." Stated the short humanoid. I nodded as we walked through an open door, the atmosphere feeling bigger than the other rooms. "Are we in a hallway?" I asked curiously because of the new feeling of the room. He stayed quiet for a second, probably nodding but realizing I were blind, "Oh- yeah. The next couple rooms are where I stay instead of the secret room."

"Hm." I replied, not really knowing what else to say. I started to think again how this was happening all of the sudden, meeting a new entity. Seek seemed kind, and so did that other entity we met on the way... What was his name again? Rush? Yeah, I think his name were Rush. I'm realizing that we have odd names, the entities here. "Figure" and "Seek" weren't normal names. From what I read peoples names aren't often nouns.

My thoughts were then cut short again by Seek's voice. "We're here," announced the shorter humanoid. He stopped walking and I did too around 2 steps behind him. I heard a closet door creaking open as he continued to walk forward, I followed. "Make sure to duck down," Seek said as I entered and closed the closet door behind the both of us. We both walked down what seemed to be a staircase before we arrived in a new room. I heard talking and 2 other heartbeats, but the conversation stopped when we both entered the room. Seek let go of my hand, "Seek, who is this?" A voice asked.

"Halt, this is Figure. I had discovered him while I was on a walk through the hotel. He was behind door 50." Seek explained, as another entity spoke up immediately after the explanation. "No way! A new entity?! Last time we had a new entity was years ago!" Screeched excitedly an annoying voice. I could only assume Halt had hushed the squeaky voice before I heard Halts heartbeat approach closer to me and Seek.

"Hm. Seek, go back to your hallway. The hotel is still open for another hour. I'll talk to this new entity. If any players escaoe your grasp, Seek, get Rush and Ambush." Said Halt, as the entity grabbed my wrist and took me to a table that the annoying entity was sitting at.

Seek's pov:

Ugh. I had finally met a new entity but of course Halt had to talk to him. Now I had to do work? I annoyedly huffed as I turned around for the wooden staircase, stepping up each step until I reached the closet door. Opening it and shutting it tightly behind me. It's kind of annoying how all of the entities enter the secret room through my hallway, and if figure were to want to go there from the library it'd be difficult since he is blind.

I walked out and headed for my starting hallway, running my fingers across the old wallpaper. I'm so glad I found Figure, there's finally someone new. Years of being in the hotel with the same ol' entities gets pretty boring, and since nothing exciting happens either around here, it adds extra points to the boring scale. I trailed along still, feeling the wall on my fingertips as I made my way to the starting area, going down into an ink puddle, disappearing from sight as I continued to think about the taller entity.

Sorry that this chapter is short and that it took me a while to finish. with the holidays coming up, school starting again, and having basically no motivation at all to write its been difficult finding a time to write.
