"woah, a new chapter? I haven't seen that in 20 years..."

Figures pov:

The sound of the heavy rain pattered on the stone and grass loudly. Seek, and I stood in the rain, embracing the feeling of the raindrops hit against our bodies. Seek held my hands before he started speaking.

He cleared his throat and sighed. "Figure, ever since I met you... I knew you were different from the others. And... as I started to know you more, I... started feeling weird about you. I didn't know what it was. But, you've taught me what I was feeling. Figure, you are the greatest entity I've ever met... you make me so... happy. You make my day better. Every day, I think about you. And all I've hoped for was that you felt that way as well."

I stood in shock as my heartbeat raced, what... What was he saying to me...? I still held both of his hands, I was trembling as I listened to his well thought out and considered words.

"F-figure..." The shorter entity stepped closer to me and let go of one of my hands. I rested it on the side of me as he set his palm on my chest. "I love you."

I stood in astonishment. I couldn't believe the words he just said... I was so excited because he loved me back... As well as that, I didn't have to confess to him first... Yet I was so happy... And sad... and emotions I didn't know how to handle.

I still hadn't known how to react as Seek stood patiently awaiting an answer. He took his palm off my chest disheartened. "...do you love me... back? Wait... uh, I never said that. I... I never said anything... Sorry, Figure... Um-..." Seek quickly excused, but all I could do was hug him.

I pulled him closely to me, his face buried into my chest, and all I heard was the rain and his heartbeat and my heartbeat, and everything felt perfect for a moment. "Seek... I love you so much... There's no words to explain how much I adore you. Im so glad you feel the same way I do..." I felt like I was going to sob if I had eyes. Even though it was raining, I felt my chest get wet. Seek were crying. "Please don't cry.." I whispered to him, reassuring him and comforting him. I just wanted to hug Seek. I just wanted him close to me.

"So.. y-you.." Seek questioned quietly before pausing and sniffling. "You really... l-love me back?" I nodded and faced my head down, laying my head atop his.

Minutes had passed, just us standing together in eachothers embrace, the rain still pittering against the stone. I wished that I could see him so badly. All I wanted in this moment that I could think of was to have the ability to see. I hoped that one day, I could see the love of my life... but right now. Right now, I need to appreciate holding him.

Holding him close to me, knowing it won't be awkward afterward, and knowing we love each other.

"FigureI... "Love".. standing out here with you.. But, shouldn't we head back now? Halt might've found out..." Seek suggested, slightly muffled as his head was still against my chest.

"Yeah, we probably should..." I agreed. Seek had let go of me before holding both my hands. "Come on," Seek said as he let go of one of my hands, leading me up the stairs, out the metal door, and through all of the doors. We walked together, holding eachothers hands.

I had squeezed his hand occasionally, attempting to show sincerity. Every time I did, he had squeezed my hand back in reassurance. Once we finally made it back to the library, we locked the door and were hopeful that Halt had not found out about our excursion.

Seek set the padlock in place and put all the books back, as I sat down on one of the sofas in the library. The shorter entity had come over and sat next to me. I put my arm around Seek's shoulder, and he hugged me and held me close. I rested my head on his.

"I love you, Seek." I was finally able to say those words out loud to him while he was awake and listening to me.

"I love you too, Figure." He quietly murmured as the both of us had fallen asleep.
