Chapter 3||New Friends?||

"Congratulations Adrian Crevan and Thorn Lucilfer you are now certified reapers," Lawrence spoke handing us our new lenses. "Thank you, sir," I spoke as Adrian grinned switching his as I put my on and could finally read what the damn sign said. "Thank you, Lawrence," the man nodded at Adrian and I paled; reapers working, that's all it says!? I grumbled catching the male's attention and he poked my forehead; "Stop frowning, you'll get wrinkles," he smirked and my brow twitched at my new partner, "Says the older man here." He set a hand to his chest, "Me?" Lawrence chuckled catching our attention; "Ah I'm sorry" I spoke as he waved it off, "No worries, you two are fun to listen to, now go ahead and head off I have work to do." I grinned and nodded as Adrian poked my cheek and I swatted his hand. He grinned as we slipped past Ryuko showing around a group; "Thorn, Adrian." we turned to look at him, he had a hand on his hip as he held a key in another; "You look like a disappointed housewife," he sighed at my comment and Adrian snickered; "Geeze thanks Thorn, catch." I paled as Adrian caught the keys before I failed. Ryuko chuckled at our antics, "Have fun at your new house," he smirked at the end making us tilt our heads. Heh? He rolled his eyes and called the group along, well there was less of a group and more of two people. One was a tall lean redhead with sharp roman features and a short buff looking man with tossed dirty blonde locks, he supported a light stubble and was tanned from the sun's rays. We turned as I walked with the man; "Seems were next door now." Adrian spoke as I snickered, "Yay, pranks." He chuckled at my antics, "Poor Ryuko." We chuckled at this, Adrian was on his way of changing. Instead of keeping his head down, he held it up with each step he took it seemed to catch someone's attention. He was making more jokes and his posture was relaxed, he didn't hide his face as much or kept his head down, or twirl the bangs he had. "I'm proud of you," it slipped out, yet I grinned as his orbs widened and he stared at me, I gave a wide grin and he chuckled ruffling my hair; "Thanks Thorn, I appreciate it." We grinned at each other and entered our new home, I snapped my fingers and he glanced at me as I grinned; "Perks of being a demon." I snickered making him roll his eyes. The place was pretty much the same, just with fewer rooms. Well, Ryuko is the main man who shows new reapers around; "Thorn, I want you to train me with your swords." My orbs widened and I grinned; "Hell yeah!" I shouted shoving my hands into the air as he wheezed when I fell backward; "Ow." I stated not really being injured as he held his gut laughing at me, "Bitch I will smite thee!" We held it back then I snorted making us both break out into giggles as I fell back on the floor holding my gut; "Dammit Thorn," he sighed wiping drool from his face. "Yes I'm damn fine," I smirked and we snickered as I stood. "Aight let's train!" I gripped his hand and dragged the man to the backyard. 

"Tis the grandpa!" I yelled as he sighed shaking his head, "I should've seen that one coming, Adrian get off your ass and come in here!" I snickered as he raised a brow; "The man be training," his orbs widened and he walked over poking my forehead, "What did you do to him?" I raised my hands, noticing the redhead and blonde from earlier, "Me? Do something to Adrian? Ha!" He sighed, "That is fair, you usually prank me," I snickered as he raised a brow; "What did you do," he warned crossing his arms, I ignored him and looked at the two behind him; "Sup shorties, the names Thorn." Ryuko groaned at my antics yet held a smile; "Uh, hi?" The blonde spoke, man his American accent is thick with three Cs. "Axel," The redhead said, ah there be the British. "Hello Axel," I spoke grinning as the blonde paled; "The other one is Edward," Ryuko spoke as I hummed and Adrian walked in. He was shirtless revealing how much damage the records did, I didn't know he was this toned. Ryuko raised a brow but said nothing as Axel looked him up and down Edward cocked a brow; "Adrian you finally taking your job seriously, eh?" He glanced at Ryuko and cocked a brow. He's probably exhausted, he's drenched in sweat. I noticed his shirt in his hands and it looked like a wet towel. "Old man," he stated, turning he left. "That's your partner?" Edward spoke as I glanced at him, my gaze narrowed hearing his tone. Ryuko hummed and stepped back, "He seems like he has a stick up his ass." He froze as I appeared in front of him, "Watch your mouth boy, and don't you ever disrespect my partner again." I growled letting my voice turn demonic as Axel seemed frozen and Ryuko cleared his throat; "Thorn please check on Adrian." I hummed glancing at him as he nodded and I turned giving the blonde a glare I left. "Adrian I'm coming in," I spoke as I entered his room. "Thorn." We were both frozen, our orbs wide and our faces began to darken; "Knock next time," he spoke as I turned, he is in nothing but a towel. "Sorry," I spoke hearing him chuckle; "You say it like you haven't done this before." I paled, "I really need to learn to knock," I grumbled making him laugh. "To be fair I've walked in on you as well," I hummed as I heard shuffling; "Yeah but I was in my underwear and corset." I heard him close his dresser; "You say that like it's not bad." I shrugged, "To me, it's like my training wear also the corset covered most of me, and my demon form is more revealing." He agreed with me, remembering the long crimson gown with the slits on both legs and the breast area dipping down to my belly button only the belt seemed to hide most of my stomach. Then he gently tapped my shoulder and I turned; "Why'd ya come in? You seemed pissed off?" He questioned as I grumbled crossing my arms; "That Edward guy was being rude," he folded his brows and ruffled my bangs, "And you defended me, hmm?" He grinned as his gaze softened; "No shit," I stated making him chuckle, "I was rude Thorn." I raised a brow, "No you were being yourself, it's stupid that he got his panties in a twist because you were exhausted you've been training since dawn." He removed his hand and smiled, setting a hand on my back I walked out with him. "Do you understand Edward?" Our orbs widened as Axel sat watching as Ryuko scolded the blonde; "Yes sir..." He trailed making the man sigh; Axel glanced at us and gave a nod. "Hello I'm Adrian, I'm sorry about earlier." Axel shook his hand, "No worries, you've been busy so it's understandable and I'm Axel." They released hands as I grinned seeing Adrian walk over to the blonde; "Hello again," I spoke making the redhead chuckle; "Hello, nice to see you again." I grinned and we saw the blonde apologizing to Adrian he grinned; "You were pretty cool earlier," I blinked glancing at him as he paled; "Sorry, I just really wanted to say that." I grinned, "Thank you Axel I appreciate the compliment." His orbs widened and he grinned giving me a short nod. "Thorn come here." I paled hearing Adrian's stern voice, "do I have to...?" I spoke glancing at the man with crossed arms as he raised a brow, Axel chuckled at this and Edward paled as Ryuko shook his head. "Thorn." I whined and made my way over, "I didn't even do anything wrong," I grumbled making Ryuko laugh; "You right, you didn't" My brow twitched as he set a hand on my back, then caught me before I dipped; "Dammnit!" I crossed my arms as he sat me down. "I'm sorry Thorn," I wiped my head towards the blonde; glancing at Adrian he grinned and Ryuko was barely keeping his laughter back. "Your forgiven and ya assholes don't scare me like that!" Edward's orbs widened then he grinned as Ryuko broke out in laughter and Adrian raised his hands as I crossed my arms staring up at the man. "I am not sorry." he snickered and my brow twitched. "You are an asshole," I stated and he crossed his arms smirking down at me as I puffed my cheeks. "Thank you," I groaned as the group broke out in laughter at the two of us.
