"But it's no use, it's a dream to be broken. I run and run but I'm not getting anywhere."

"I know that girls are the best thing in the world."

What?

Reese was gasping some air enough to compensate some oxygen to her lungs. "Excuse me sir. Whoever or whatever you might be." She demurred, studying him carefully as if she were teaching so obvious to a five year old kid. "I got no time to play games with you."

"Woah, woah! You don't have to be so rude, love." But of course, figuring out how much such a man would respond to her shut-up-and-accept-it commentary. "But it was fun." He added and carefully scanned her fresh-face features once more. Wide, guileless eyes, a charming novelty he was positive he hadn't encountered in years. If such category existed with an appealing blend of innocence and optimism. Definitely not his usual type.

"Fun?" She scoffed and it felt like she was talking to a martian or an alien. For god's sake, he's driving her crazy.

"But you pretty quite help me back there. You see, I was escapingー"

"From what?" She asked, arms folded over her chest.

"I'm escaping, well, temporary escaping from the world of s.hit." Said V as smile slowly transformed his expression. "And thanks to you the escape plan was a success."

Well, that makes us no difference, she mumbled to her mind and drawn a forlorn sigh.

"How about we start things over?" V hummed and turned to face her with a big, friendly smile as he ran his fingers under his chin. "I'm pretty sure you had a name. Gorgeous as you are." His deep, low-toned voice prodded in, melting her inside.

Should she trust this stranger? But somehow, she felt the same about him. "I-I'mー" She stuttered, backing up a step since he was so close. So close that their faces were almost inches apart.

"You are?" V prodded once more but a sudden sonorously sound of a phone started to ring at the background.

"Your phone is ringing." She cooed, diverting his attention away from her. "It might be an important call."

V groaned, fishing his phone out of his pocket. Answering it without even checking the caller's ID. "Hello?"

As the atmosphere grew more awkward, Reese could only kept her eyes down, pretending she wasn't listening to the conversation.

"Fine, Jeon Jungkook. So stop lecturing me." He hung up and his face fell in frustration. "When I just thought I had my luck today."

"T-that's sounds pretty awful." She commented but V just stared at her and clicked his tongue. "What are you looking at?"

"You're forgetting something."

Her eyes widened from his words as he backed her up against an oak tree. "What are you talking about?"

Right before their lips connected, a loud honking sound of a car startled them. Knocking their senses and breaking the moment. She slipped from his arms and tore off down the sidewalk. But V overtook her as she made it into the end-side of the driveway.
