Lulee Mercer was working her normal job, bartending, when she felt her phone start vibrating in her pocket. She at first ignored it because she was making someone a Bloody Mary but once she delivered the drink, her phone started vibrating again. She excused herself from her coworker and went into the back. Pulling out her phone, a very familiar name is on it. She puts it to her ear, answering.
"Yes?" She asks, sighing.
"Hi Lee," a voice Lulee was not expecting but glad to hear rang in her ears.
"Holy shit!" She exclaims, smiling.
"Expecting someone else?" The voice asks.
"Yes, but anything is better than Rusty's voice," Lulee says.
"You're on speaker, Lu," the voice of Rusty Ryan is heard.
"And to think I was saved," Lulee says.
"You know you love my voice," Rusty says.
"Keep telling yourself that," Lulee says. "Danny, please keep talking." Danny Ocean, the one calling Lulee on Rusty's phone, laughs.
"Rusty says you work at my favorite bar," Danny says.
"I in fact do, I'm working right now," Lulee answers while looking at the clock.
"When do you get out?"
"Hold on a second," Lulee says as she watches the clock hit 10pm. "Right now."
"Good, we have something to discuss," Danny says.
"Ooh, intriguing," Lulee says, clocking out. "When?"
"Now at Digg's."
"Well, you see-"
"We're parked outside of the bar," Danny cut her off, knowing exactly what she was going to say.
"On my way." With that, Lulee walks out of the bar and instantly spots Rusty's car with himself and Danny Ocean inside. She practically runs and almost throws herself into the car as she gives Danny a hug, which he returns. "Nice to breathe fresh air again, huh?"
"No greater feeling," Danny responds, smiling, letting go of the girl. Lulee jumps over the back car doors, something Rusty hates, and sits down. A soft song is playing in the background as Rusty starts driving. Lulee's medium blonde hair waves in the wind in her high ponytail. She watches as the lights from the city move past her like they were never there in the first place. Needless to say, Rusty drives pretty fast but is very safe about it. The driver in question looks at his rearview mirror, seeing the blonde woman's hair flow beautifully in the wind along with her blue eyes lighting up because of all the lights in the city.
"God, I'm bored," Rusty announces, tearing his eyes away from the woman in the backseat.
"You look bored," Danny says.
"I am bored," Rusty says.
"You're always bored," Lulee says.
"So, how was the clink? Did you get the cookies I sent?" Rusty changes the topic, not wanting to deal with Lulee and her sassiness.
"The cookies that I made by the way," Lulee corrects Rusty.
"Why do you think I came to see you two first?" Danny responds. as Rusty pulls into the parking lot of Digg's, a resturant the three frequent at. Or at least did before Danny landed himself in prison. Lulee hops over the car door, making Rusty roll his eyes at her as he and Danny get out of his car the normal way.
