Adela S.

TODAY IS THE DAY, where Norm and Jake will be transferred into their avatar bodies. Adela looks through the glass window and saw their bodies lying on the bed while the doctors were preparing everything for the transfer. Max is walking next to Adela, examining someone's brain. "That's a gorgeous brain. Nice activity," Max commented. "I figured," Adela replied, crossing her arms. "All right, I'm going in," her mother announced, and Max and Adela watched as she walked towards the window.

They saw one of the doctors say, "He's in," and Grace looked down at Jake's body. "Well. I'm heading in now, see in young a bit, hun," Grace kissed her daughter on the temple before she walks and head into the link room. "Jake, can you hear me?" she asked him. After receiving no response, the doctor flashed a small flashlight into Jake's eyes. "Pupillary reflex is good," the doctor noted. She then started checking Jake's ears. "Pinna response normal. How are you feeling, Jake?" the woman asked him. "Hey, guys," he said. I chuckled at his casual greeting, shaking my head. I listened to the response that the woman got from him.

They both chuckled. "Welcome to your new body, Jake," he told him. They ran a few tests for Jake and Norm, but for Jake, all he did was swing his legs over the side of the bed, get up, and head out of the door.

Adela saw her mother with Jake and shook her head with a smile on her face. "You're such an idiot, Jake," Adela chuckles as she walked over to the both of them. Grace looked over her shoulder and saw Jake looking at Adela, confused on who she is. "It's Adela, you idiot," I tells him, looking at him with teasing glare.

"That was a risky move you made there."

"Let's get you some clothes so you're not flashing everyone, including the cameras," Adela told him teasingly as she led him back to the shack, with the others trailing behind them. Once there, she found some suitable clothing for Norm and Jake, out of their hospital nightgowns weren't going to cut it. Adela also made sure to have the doctors check them thoroughly, especially Jake.

It slowly got dark, and all the doctors were heading out, while the avatar drivers were going to lay down. "Come on, everybody, quiet it down! All right, gang, lights out," Adela spoke loudly and commandingly. She walked past Jake and noticed that he was looking at his Queue. "Don't play with that; you'll go blind," Adela warned him.

"That's kind of freaky," he mutters to himself before leaving it alone. Adela stretch her body and prepare for the night. "Lights out. See you at dinner, kiddies," Adela's mother announces. Adela smile slightly at her mothers words and close her eyes, linking back to her human body.

The next morning, as we headed to the lab, Adela noticed her dad trying to flirt with her mother, like always, but she seemed uninterested, seemed use to it. Adela walked over to them and asked her fahter, "Do you ever stop flirting with Mum?" He saw her coming and grinned. "Not a chance, Peach. I need to flirt with your mother every chance I can," he replied. Adela shook her head, unable to hide a small smile. "So, what's up, Peach?" he asked Adela. "Nothing much, I was going to help mum," she tells him. "Is that right?" he asked Adela. She nodded her head. "I'll be their bodyguard, well more like me and Jake are, while Mum and Norm are taking the samples," Adela said. "I bet I can knock out anything that comes near us." Adela jokes as she flexed her arms. Her father laughs, shaking his head. "I bet you will," he said.

"Are you guys just waiting for the boys?" Brannon asked Grace as his eyes looked over to the side of her face. "Yeah, they shouldn't be here long. I told them to come here early in the morning," she replied. Brannon nodded his head in understanding.

Minutes later, Norm and Jake finally arrived. "Who's the big dude?" Jake asked, gesturing towards Grace's ex-husband. Brannon looked over at Jake and replied, "I'm Grace's husband," with a mischievous glint in his eye, clearly trying to elicit a reaction from Grace. Adela shake her head as she chuckles a bit. He did manage to elicit a reaction from her. She glared at Adela's father when he made that comment, although he never glanced in her direction. "Nah, I'm just kidding. Well, she's, my ex-wife. But that's not important. I'm Adela's father," he explained to them. "Well, it's nice to meet you, sir." Jake went in for the handshake, as he held his hand out for dad to shake, which he did. "Pleasures all mine, son."

Getting into the link, Brannon came over to Adela. "You'd better be careful out there. You know how dangerous it could be out there. Those, too, don't," he tells his daughter. "Dad, come on, you know I'm always safe." Smiling at him. Knowing herself, she was never cautious about certain things. Her parents knew that. He gave a type of look like he knew. "Promise," Adela pouts as, he chuckles. He then closed it once Adela got in. Closing her eyes and clearing her mind. Then Adela saw the colours as she was going into her avatar body. Seeing that she was laying the shack along with a few others.

Adela saw that her mum was already up in her avatar body. She throw her legs on the side of the bed, lifting the upper body as she go. Heading over to get some other clothes that she usually wear. As Adela put on her combat boots, looking over to hear footsteps. To see that it was her mother. she leaned on the door frame as her arms were crossed over her chest. And Brannon by her side, with that bright smile on his face.

She has a small smile on her face. "You ready?" Grace asks Adela. "Yeah, I am," she tells her. Adela get up onto her feet, Grace nodded her head. "Let's go then. The others are waiting at the aircraft," she tells her, as she walks off. Adela follows not far behind her. Having the things she needs with her. "Be safe out there, Peach," her dad said to Adela, she shakes her head as she chuckles a bit. "Dad, I'm going to be alright. Nothing bad is going to happen to me. Like I said earlier." she looks up to him.

"I know peach, I'm just making sure you know that." Seeing the concerned look on his face, Adela sighs. "I will be Ok," she said, with a small smile that formed on her lips, he smiles back. Walking out of the shack and over to where the bunch of aircraft are, then she got into the aircraft with the others. Sitting on the ledge as she was holding onto the handle, as it went off the ground and flew into the mountains of Pandora.

Adela took in the scenery that was in front of her. She closes her eyes, letting the breeze hit her face, as she breathed in the air. She smiles a bit. Having this feeling of freedom, finally getting out of that place of Hell's Gate. Adela opens her eyes as she felt a pair of eyes on her. Looking over to see it was her mother, she was leaning against the wall. She had a small smile on her face as she was watching Adela. She looks back out to the forest, seeing that they were landing.
