"Dayum!" Alice laughed out loud and I grinned wickedly at her.
Yeah yeah, flashforward, I got over the murder in a day. I realized people like him weren't worth guilt. For instance, you could catch a guy about to rape an old man and kill him and not feel guilty at all. Or you could be learning how to drive and mistakenly hit a child, run over the child, and drive super fast so you won't get into trouble. Guilt would definitely be worthy for the latter.
"My first kill was my mother's boyfriend. I was eight years old then. Dude was about to put his wood in me and I touched him and showed him a picture of his whole life crumbling. And then he got up and shakily hit the cooker. Turned out it was on and I still don't know how but he got burnt to black crisp. You know what's funny? You're the first person I've ever told this to." we both stared at each other for a couple of seconds and then laughed like our lives surely depended on it.
"Oh my god, I can't breathe." I wheezed and she rolled over to me to rub on my boobs so I could breathe.
"This is just sad." I heard Vinnie sigh and we both got up with our teary messed up red face masking the look of innocence.
I glanced behind him and stared suspiciously at Ruan who held the leather bag from that night tightly in his hand with a angry look on his face.
"Sit." Ruan ordered and he definitely wasn't going to repeat himself as we scrambled around till we glued our asses to the couch. He dropped the leather bag on the ground and I winced worriedly for the wood underneath.
"I bet you've been curious about the bag." he stated, looking at me directly and I looked at anything but his phone while whistling softly.
"What's in the bag?" Alice asked, obviously.
He zipped it open and we all stood up to glance at the guns and knives and face masks that shone pretty brightly like a bunch of stolen pirates' treasures.
"Oh my god we're robbing a bank." I murmured and Ruan rolled his eyes.
"We're sabotaging a plan that was constructed by our fathers' killer." he announced with a proud smile on his face.
I wouldn't say I was surprised to hear this. Of course they had it in mind to avenge their father's death, how in the fuck could I forget? But this was so soon and I was so not ready to face the one person I was afraid of.
