Mia is a hardened warrior, apathetic, cocky, headstrong, coldhearted, and disinterested in anything that is irrelevant beyond doing her daily job. The cause of Valentine's extreme experiments caused her to feel out of place with people her age during her childhood, making her feel isolated. She carries herself professionally and focus when defending New York from demons. Mia rather be independent and work as a lone wolf than let anyone get in her way as it helps get the job done quicker and prefers to not align with Downworlders or even Shadowhunters, acting out as a vigilante of being above the law. She is the one person who can get her sister to listen to her on being told what or cannot do unlike everyone where Clary would stubbornly refuse to listen. She is socially awkward, not knowing how to handle herself in a conversation and difficulties expressing herself. Exposed to Simon, Izzy, and everyone upon the start of the Mortal Wars does Mia's harden persona crack, showing her deeper and compassionate side. Mia can swallow her pride and do embarrassing things if it is to help save a life despite the discomfort. Mia becomes more warmer and open-minded towards others, and can form interpersonal relationships when before she struggled and didn't get along with the likes of Jace or Simon.
