Isn't a relationship based on a certain bond?
Not always the nicest of bonds, but they are bonds all the same

There is something there that keeps the other involved
Whether it be blackmail, unhinged desire, or basic feelings of love

What exactly is love anyway?
Does it sting like bees and bees cousins

Is it sweet and everlasting like the warm sun
What pounds and molds it, into something more

Like what getting the heart going
Just from taking a glance at someone
One look that could end it all

A look of approval or one of disgust
Eyes glued to the object of interest

Never wavering it's lingering gaze
Until the gazer is caught in the act
Setting their stare towards the Earth

Acting innocent from disruption
Shooing away their invasive thoughts

Running back to the cave to retreat
With a wilted tail in between their legs
