I'm surprised I haven't talked about Young Justice at all in this book since I love it so much. I always end up coming back to it after a while, it just feels right. Sure, the plot took a hard swan dive once season 3 started. But I still liked the show overall, and I like it for what it is. Now it's time to show you my YJ school AU for the main team.
YJ characters in school:
Mr. Nelson: "Kaldur'ahm! Where are your shoes? You can't walk barefoot or webbed foot on these floors! And leave your magic toys, I mean weapons for later. We barely have enough water in the fountains, the last thing we need is lashing thrashing Atlantean water."Mr. Nelson: "Robin get back here! You can't just get up and leave without my permission! Use a hall pass! No, I'm not whelmed! I'm aggravated! Big difference! And no, it's not as big as the bat cave! Wait, why isn't my screen working? Did you hack my computer? Again?"
Mr. Nelson: "M'gann! Stop trying to read the frog's mind! That frog died ages ago! And don't even try to say that's your true form! DBZ says otherwise! Now don't you try to disappear on me! Ik that technique all too well. And don't use your telepathy to get another tool! Get up and walk like everybody else. Or I'll blast the Hello Megan reboot song!"
Mr. Nelson: "Wally enough! What did I just say? No running in the halls! Or anywhere for that matter! Save that running for P.E. sonny, and maybe then you'll be breaking some records. And need some new sneakers. Now get back to work and stop eating everything!"
Mr. Nelson: "Conner stop it! Use your words, not your feral instincts! And lower your tone when you speak to me! You can't punch every locker and water fountain you see! And no punching any annoying kids or teachers either! Not everyone can jump and read as fast as you!"
Mr. Nelson: "Artemis! What did I say about shooting arrows in class? Especially at moving targets, so put your bow away! You can practice your target practice some other time. No, not on your father and sister. That old vending machine was expensive I'll have you know!"
Mr. Nelson: "Zatanna! Stop casting a spell on everything you see! Ik the school needs fixing, but we can't exactly use child labor as a result. And no, you can't use magic on the other students! Leave them be. I doubt they can speak fast backwards, the same the way you do."
