It was much less tense outside, the raven sitting on the curb to which Yeji joined her. She looked sad, looked like she didn't know what was going on anymore.
"I just didn't want her to-"
"It's okay Ryu." Yeji interuppted, resting her head on the raven's shoulder. "Don't you think the sky is darker today?" Yeji commented, changing the subject to something much more normal, more calm.
"It's going to rain later." Ryujin said, looking up and then turning to face Yeji as much as she could without disturbing her head rest.
"You like rain?" Yeji asked, a question that Ryujin hummed in response to.
"I do. The feeling of cold drops pattering across my face, soaking into me in such a natural way." Ryujin closed her eyes for a moment. "It's delightful."
"We should go out later then." Yeji suggested, seeing how her eyebrow perked in confusion.
"The gambling though." Ryujin argued, to which Yeji clicked her tongue.
"We won't be too long, besides you'll enjoy it, we can go find a swing set."
"That's cliche."
"But you know it'll be fun." Yeji said, smiling. Ryujin couldn't help smiling back, completely forgetting about the stupid waitress.
"Alright then, let's find a park."
--
Ryujin wasn't lying, Yeji never felt so pure and free as she did with the pouring rain splashing into puddles, cold. Ryujin tugging her by the hand around the grounds and kissing her with wet lips, sliding over her own with ease. Their clothing stuck together from how soggy they were, but neither cared, laughter etrupting from the both, and even when it thundered Ryujin laughed louder.
"I don't want to push you any harder." Ryujin said, the swing coming back only for her to gently push Yeji forward once again.
"I'll be fine." Yeji said, smiling into the dark sky as her legs moved in rhytm with the swing and Ryujin's each push. It really did feel like she was flying, and falling at the same time. Flying, for the way her stomach seemed to float with every upward motion. And falling for the raven who spent the time and effort to push her in the rain. She jumped off not long later, Ryujin taking her by the hand and twirling her as though dancing.
"May I have this dance madam?" Ryujin said, bowing slightly.
"You say that like you aren't already." Yeji chuckled, being pulled close and swaying with her. She couldn't stop the rise in her cheeks, something as intimate as dancing in the rain, something so unusual but oddly romantic, made her heart thump madly. they stayed like that for a while, eventually Yeji leaning in and resting her head on her shoulder.
"Are you cold?" Ryujin asked, kissing the side of her head.
"No, not yet." Yeji said, pulling away and starting to walk throughout the trees.
"You always have the best ideas." Ryujin said, peeking her head around a tree trunk and sticking her tongue out. Yeji looked down, chuckling before going to step around to her.
"Oh no-" Yeji said, just before slipping onto the muddy ground with a squishing noise. Ryujin originally chuckled, and then with two steps slipped the same next to her, the rain getting into their eyes and making everything look distorted. "That's what you get for laughing." Yeji chuckled, Ryujin rolling closer and kissing her cheek just before rubbing a muddy hand over it.
"Sorry, couldn't resist." She said, standing as Yeji gasped and wiped her face best she could. She too then stood, chasing after Ryujin who ended up in a checkmate, cornered into a rock wall. Yeji stepped close, wrapping her arms around her waist and smashing her cheek to Ryujin's, rubbing the mud that was left onto her as well.
