A long time ago, In a galaxy far, far away.....

The story began in the capital planet of the Republic, Coruscant.

Coruscant is home to many, from regular folks, politicians, business people, but most importantly, the Jedi. The guardians of peace and justice.

The Jedi Order is an ancient order that became a sanctuary to many naturally talented Force wielders. The Force surrounds and lives within all living beings. The members came from all corners of the galaxy. Together, they unite under the guidance of the Force. All Jedi started their journey as a youngling, many as foundlings, who were found then brought to the temple. One of them is a Padawan of a well known Jedi master Obi-Wan Kenobi. Her name is Sérena Varelle.

Like many other padawans, She wished to be a Jedi knight one day, then a Jedi Master. She was of an intelligent and calm character. One would describe her as a reserved individual. Not many know her past and personal life. Many other padawans and younglings thought she was somwhat strange, For she rather meditated and practiced her lightsaber forms rather than hanging out and playing with them. Some shunned and even bullied her. They thought she was weak, untalented.

Yes, She felt lonely.

But She kept it to herself.

She was afraid to be considered pathetic.

But she met a Togruta youngling, and her name is Ahsoka Tano. Unlike the other padawans, Ahsoka is also unique. Sérena loved the little togruta girl. Ahsoka was witty and funny. Both the girls became sisters-like. Not a day was spent without each other's company. Sérena and Ahsoka shared similar interests, hoping one day they would become Jedi Knights and work together. They would be doing lightsaber sparring, eating together, studying together, and sometimes even doing mischief together. Ahsoka was a little ray of sunshine for Sérena. And Sérena was like an older sister Ahsoka never had.

One day, a famous padawan named Anakin Skywalker, found Sérena sitting alone in the meditation chamber. He then befriended her. He saw potential in her. Sérena felt regarded and validated by Anakin. His character might have been the complete opposite of Sérena, But they get along like siblings. Like brother and sister. They spent many hours together practicing their saber techniques and Anakin also loves to tell her about the galaxy and its wonders. Sometimes Anakin would even sneak with her out of the temple to get ice cream. Sérena never felt happier.

Master Kenobi, who was supervising and training Anakin at the time, observed their day-to-day interaction. He saw potential and value in Sérena. And that led to Kenobi's decision to take Sérena under his wings as his apprentice once Anakin had finished his training and granted the title of Jedi Knight.

Sérena's life changed overnight.

She couldn't believe she became the Padawan of The Obi-Wan Kenobi.

By the time Sérena became Kenobi's padawan, the Clone Wars already began. As a member of the Jedi Council, Obi-Wan was needed more and more on the field than in the temple. Master Kenobi did trust his padawan, but he saw first-hand how ferocious the war was. He decided it was best for Sérena to complete her training first than to follow him into the battlefield. After all, Sérena is still young.

With little to no choice, Sérena must continue her training on her own for a while.

Her Master's decision gave her a mixed feeling.

Yes, she was grateful he was protecting her.

But, what is the point?

Isn't this what she was trained for? The unexpected?
