August gasped as she woke up from a big nightmare that felt so real. August got up and got a drink of water. She ran back to her room and searched for her mixtape. When she found it she started to listen to "Running up that hill" by Kate Bush. She looked at the clock and saw that it was 9:00 when she would be at work by 9:30 for your first day. "Shit,shit,shit!" She yelled. August got dressed and ran outside. She got in her car and drove to the mall. When August entered the mall she didn't have time to look. She had to run to Scoops Ahoy.
"August?" A boy said. August turned around and saw him with a confused face. Suddenly he smiled. "It is you!" He said. "Steve?" August questioned. "I thought I wouldn't ever see you again." He said. Steve tried to hug August but she backed up. "Not a hugger,huh?" "It's cool." Steve smiled. "Yeah,I need to get to work." August said as she walked away. Steve sighed as he watched her walk away.
A few minutes a girl walked in wearing the same uniform. "August,hey!" The girl said. August just stared at her cause she didn't know who she was. "Oh,I'm Robin,we were in the same class together back in high school." Robin explained. August nodded.
An hour later August walked in the back of the room. She grabbed out some headphones and listened to music. Steve walked in and she paused the music. He sat by her and stated into her eyes. "What are you listening too?" Steve asked. "Video Killed The Radio Star." August said.
Suddenly a boy with curly hair walked in shocked. "STEVE!" He yelled. "HENDERSON!" Steve yelled as he ran to hug him. August sighed and played her music. Hours passed by until August had to get back to work. "What can I get you?" August asked. "I'd like to try the cookies and cream sample." A girl with black hair said. She got out the sample and she tried it. "No thanks,I'd like to try the peppermint stick." She said. August sighed and gave the sample to her. And then it ended up to her trying all the samples. "I'd like to try the peppermint stick." She said. "Haven't you already tried the peppermint stick?" August asked. "Yes and id like to try it AGAIN." She said. "I'll handle it now." Steve said as he walked up to August. August started to walk out the room. "August,where you going?" Robin asked. "I'm going somewhere for break." August said. She ran out of the mall and arrived by Maxs house.
"Hello?" Max said as she opened the door. "Max,can I stay at your house tonight?" August asked. "Sure!" "Well..im going to the movie theatre with Mike,Lucas,and Will." "Wanna come?" Max asked. August slowly nodded. "Okay!" "Ill see you there." Max smiled as she slowly shut the door. August rode to her uncles house. He opened the door and stared at her. "Is Eddie home?" She asked. "No,but what do is it?" He answered. "I found his guitar pic." August said. Her uncle took the pic and smiled. "You know,Eddie has been getting hooked up in some fights." "And don't tell I said but,your stronger then Eddie." "So you might need to help him." He laughed but August didn't. Her smile is always down. "I know I'm stronger than Eddie." "You don't need to tell me." She said. She turned around and rode back to the mall.
She ran into Scoops Ahoy and stared to make ice cream. She turned around and saw Dustin,Robin,and Steve translating a Russian code. "The sliver car feeds." "When blue meets yellow in the west..is the code." August said. Steve,Dustin,and Robin looked at her in shock. "I know Russian but how did you do it that fast?" Robin asked. "I know a lot of things." August said. "Wow.." Steve said with a shocked face. "Okay,Steve,it's not that impressive." Dustin said. "You try,Dustin." August said. Dustin became speechless. August sighed and started ordering more until she saw Mike,Lucas,Max,and Will standing there. "Are you ready?" Max asked. August nodded and they started walking to the movie theatre until Steve grabbed her hand. August turned around as she had her fists out. "Woah,woah!" "Where are you going?" Steve asked in a shaky voice. "It's really not your business." "And I prefer you to let go of my hand before a knife is going to be in your head." August said. Steve smiled and slowly let go of her hand. He stared at her as she walked off to the theatre.
"Steve?" Robin asked as he walked up to her. "Yeah?" He asked. "Are you..falling for August Munson?" She said. "What,no,Robin,no!" Steve yelled. Robin made a face. "I don't know..but there's never going to be a chance of us dating." "You could clearly see she was not interested in me." Steve sighed. Dustin starts to laugh. "I'm still here." He said. Steve sighed when he saw Dustin. 2 hours later the movie was over and August went back to work until she saw Robin and Steve cleaning up. "Works over?" August asked. Steve nodded. "Listen,we're all getting more into this Russian stuff." "And we are going to go where the Russian code came from." "So can you come with us?" Dustin explained. "I don't want to go but sure." August sighed.
An hour later August,Steve,Robin,and Dustin found the place. They started to hide in a spot so the Russians wouldn't see them. They were wanting to get in the elevator but the Russians were guarding it. A Russian would see them for a split second but they would cover their heads. Steve would look Augusts hand. He slowly started to hold it. August looked at Steve confused but she didn't let go. When the Russians started to walk away they made a run for it and Steve and August were still holding hands. When they got in the elevator a Russian started to see them. Steve quickly hit the "close" button and it closed when the Russian started to run to them. Everyone was breathing heavily when it closed.
Suddenly the elevator dropped without pressing any button. Everyone was screaming except for August. The elevator hit the ground and August fell into Steve's arms. "Are you okay?" Steve asked. "I'm fine." August said as she quickly got up.
