Months go by and August lived in Steve's house and she stopped having those "dreams" but she still felt crazy from it. "Hey August,do you want to go to a basketball game?" "I know you don't really like them but it's Lucas's." Steve explained. "Sure." August said. August and Steve got ready and arrived. "Ticket?" A random guy said by the counter. Steve gave the ticket to the man and they walked in the bleachers. An hour later the game began. "Who do you think is gonna win?" Steve asked. "Lucas,definitely." August said as she crossed her arms. Lucas shot the basketball in the hoop and he won. Steve was jumping up and down very excitedly. August smiled and they did a high five. They got down from the bleachers and Lucas walked to them. "Lucas,that was great buddy!" Steve said. "Thanks,Steve." Lucas smiled. "I knew that you were gonna win." August said. Steve laughed and ran off.
Later that night August had another "dream" and fell into Steve's arms on the ground. August got back up and looked at him in shock. "Steve,it was real." August said. "August,look at me..it was just a dream." Steve said as he put his hands on her shoulder. August backed up and looked at him. "You think I'm crazy." August said with tears falling down her eyes. "No,August,that's not true." Steve said as he tried to walk to her but she kept on backing up. "YOU THINK IM CRAZY!" "YOU NEVER BELIEVED ME!" August yelled. "August,that's all lies." Steve said with tears falling from his eyes too. "YOU TREATED ME LIKE SHIT EVER SINCE THAT!" August yelled. Steve didn't say anything.
August ran to her bedroom and tried to fall asleep while she was sobbing. "August..?" Steve said as he walked in front of her. "Why would you love me?" August said with tears falling down her face. "I'm sorry.." Steve sighed. August didn't say anything and she closed her eyes. "I would never let anyone or anything hurt you." "You made me feel like a whole person." Steve said. August opened her eyes and looked at him. "I owe you everything..you owe me nothing." Steve sighed. More tears fell down from August's face. "Hey,don't cry." Steve said as he sat on the bed whipping her tears. August nodded. "I love you." "I'm sorry I didn't believe you." Steve said. "Okay." August sighed. Steve kissed August. "Wanna dance?" Steve asked. August smiled.
The next day Steve,August,and Robin were working until Dustin and Max walked in. "How many phones do you have?" Dustin asked. "What?" Steve asked looking at him. "How many phones do you have!?" Dustin repeated. "Three..actually four." August said. "Four works." Max said. Dustin got his backpack out and Dustin climbed over the counter. "What are you doing,man!?" Steve asked. "Finding Eddie's number." Dustin answered. "My brother?" August asked. Max and Dustin nodded. "Here." August said. She typed in his number and everyone called him. It all went straight to voicemail. August called Eddie one more time but it still went to voicemail. "Eddie,for some reason I need to see you." "I don't know why." "So just call me back...please." August quickly hung up. "Since when did you say "please?" Robin asked. August didn't say anything. "She says that too me." Steve whispered. August grabbed his arms and kicked his knee. "Ow!" Steve said as he fell on the ground. "That's why I almost left you yesterday." August said. Robin,Dustin,and Max smiled. "Do you know where Eddie lives,August?" Robin asked. August didn't say anything. "Let's go." "Follow me." August said. August gabbed Steve's hand and lifted him up. They all got on their bikes and rode to Eddie's house.
"Eddie has a house?" Dustin asked. "No,he lives with our grandfather,Rick." "Cause we can't trust him on the things he'll do." August explained. Dustin nodded. "Right." Max said. Hours later they finally reached Eddie's house.
They walked close to the door and Dustin knocked on it. "EDDIE!" "ITS DUSTIN!" NO COPS I SWEAR!" "CAN WE JUST TALK!?" Dustin yelled. "Don't yell that!" Steve whispered. Robin laughed. "Quit laughing!" Steve said. "Hey guys.." Max said. Everyone looked at her. "What about there?" Max said as she pointed to a shed by the house. "Eddie does go in there." August said. They ran to the shed and opened the door. They all looked around. Steve grabbed a oar and started to hit a towel inside a boat. "What are you doing!?" Dustin asked. "He might be in here." Steve replied. Robin rolled her eyes. Suddenly Eddie jumped out of the towel and pinned Steve to the wall with a knife by his neck. Steve was breathing heavily in fear. "EDDIE!" Dustin yelled. Eddie looked at him and saw Robin,Max,and August beside him. "August?" Eddie asked. August didn't say anything. "What are y'all doing here?" Eddie said. "We're looking for you." Dustin answered. "We're here to help." Robin smiled. "Steve why don't you drop the oar?" Dustin asked. Steve slowly nodded and dropped the oar. Eddie put it closer to his neck and cut him. August grabbed a axe from the room. "Let him go." August said. Eddie looked at her. "I'm not afraid to cut your head off." August said. Eddie slowly took his knife off Steve. Eddie leaned on the wall with tears in his eyes. "Eddie,we just wanna talk." Dustin said. Eddie didn't say anything. "What happened with you and Chrissy?" Max asked. "You won't believe me." Eddie sniffed. "Try us." Robin said. "There was like..this thing pulling eyes." "And she hit the wall and uh..her bones started to snap." "You don't believe me don't you?" Eddie said. "No,we do,Eddie." Dustin sighed. "Then don't bullshit me,man I know how this sounds!" Eddie yelled. Robin sighed. "I know what it was." "We've defeated the demogorgon,the mindflayer,and demo-dogs." "But we all have one thing left...Vecna." August explained. Dustin looked shocked. "What's Vecna?" Steve asked. "A great monster with...the most power." Dustin explained.
