The truth is... I am Iron Man

Y/N

Those seven words rung in my head as I watched Tony at the press conference. I glance over at Pepper to look for a reaction from her but I couldn't really read her face. Since I didn't really know what to think right now I just decided to go to the bathroom. "Hey Pep, I gotta use the bathroom. I'll be right back." I tell her.

She turns to me "Are you okay? You looked kind of stressed." Pepper states. "Oh yeah, I'm fine. I just ya know...." I lie but not intentionally, it was a good thing that she couldn't read my mind like I could do hers. Pepper nods in understanding before looking back at the screen.

When I leave the room I walk to the bathroom and the only sound that was heard were my shoes echoing down in the hallway. Entering the bathroom I walk over to the sink and look in the mirror. "Wow, Pepper was right, I do look stressed out." I say aloud to myself.

Sighing I run the water in the sink and splash it on my face. When I look up I see a figure standing behind me, but when I turn around there was nothing there. Cautiously, I exit the bathroom. I must've been in there for a while because as I was leaving the bathroom there was people leaving the room where the press conference was held.

I look and see Tony and Rhodey walking out and I go over to them. "Tony! Just the person I needed to see." I turn to Rhodey. "Can I borrow him for a sec?" I say forcing a smile upon my face. "He's all yours." Rhodey says probably noticing my facial expression. "Thank you." I say before grabbing Tony and pulling him away from the press so I could speak to him privately.

I glare at Tony once there was no cameras around "Oh no, you're mad." Tony says. "No I'm elated. Of course I'm fucking mad. What was that? The whole... "The truth is... I am Iron Man." I say. "That impression. 10/10." Tony tells me.

"Wait, really? You think so? Because I have been working on my impressions of people... Hold up what am I saying? I'm supposed to be mad at you." I speak. "But seriously Tony, after what happened last night, do you think it's a good time for you to be saying that you're Iron Man?" I ask crossing my arms and just as I do my phone rings.

"Damn it! I gotta answer this. But we're not done with this conversation." I tell Tony as I leave to answer my phone.

3RD POV

Later as Y/N faxed and emailed some paperwork on the couch the aroma of food filled her nose. "Hey. J." she spoke.

"Yes, Miss L/N?" Jarvis responds.

"Where's Tony?" Y/N asks.

"Headed your way as a matter a of fact." Tony says and Y/N turns around to see him holding two plates of lasagna in his hands. (I'm sorry, I just chose lasagna because it's one of my favorite dishes. But if you like something else you can use that.)

"I thought you'd be down in your workshop." Y/N says. "I thought about what you said and..." Y/N cuts him off. "You think this whole "Iron Man" thing is a little bit too soon, too?" Y/N interjects.

"I was actually talking about needing to take a break, but yeah that too." Tony replies. "Wow." Y/N rolls her eyes she knew Tony wasn't telling the complete truth but decided to ignore it.

Y/N could feel Tony looking at her and her expression softens "Okay, you're right." Tony sighs sitting down beside her and placing the plates on the coffee table.

Y/N side's eyes him "Wow, I can believe you're actually being genuine. And I'm gonna forgive you by enjoying this food." Y/N says picking up a plate.

"I've been to asking you..." Tony starts to say and Y/N turns to him. "Yeah?" she says and she could see him looking at the scar on her neck. "It's about my scar, isn't it?" Y/N says. "How'd you know what I was gonna say?" Tony asks.

Y/N had to quickly think of something "Uh, no, it's not like I have the special ability to do that. That would be crazy." Y/N rambles. "But uh... I don't really think I can tell you and it's not something I wanna share right now." Y/N continues as she puts down her fork. Tony starts to speak but Y/N does instead.

"I'm gonna go..." she says not wanting to cause more tension than there already. Once Y/N reached her room, she sat at the foot of her bed wondering when it would be a good time to tell Tony about everything, or if she should even tell him at all.

But that wasn't important right now,
so Y/N just lied down on the bed and went sleep.

Ew, this part stunk. I just didn't know what to put here as a filler. So just bare with me.
