After a while Y/N finds Tony standing alone. Y/N sighs before speaking "You know... I understand how you're feeling. I'm not trying to make this about me but, I was with him during his final moments, and I really wish it didn't turn out this way." she says as Tony turns to look at her before facing back forward.

Y/N walks over to Tony "I can tell that you two really got along. And hell, I've known him longer. He was a good friend of mine." she says adding a chuckle. "You know you don't have to do this, right?" Tony says.

"Do what? Comfort you?" Y/N questions but she doesn't get a response because she could sense someone else's presence. It was Steve.

"Was he married?" he asks Tony and Y/N. "No. There was a cellist, I think." Tony replies. "I'm sorry. He seemed like a good man." Steve states. "After knowing him many years, I've come to find out that he was the best." Y/N says with a smile on her face.

Tony scoffs "He was an idiot." he says and Y/N shoots a look towards his direction. "Why? For believing?" Steve asks. "For taking on Loki alone." Tony says. "He was doing his job." Steve states. "He was out of his league. He should have waited. He should have..." Tony spoke.

"Sometimes there isn't a way out, Tony." Steve tells him. "Right, I've heard that before." Tony says. "Is this the first time you lost a soldier?" Steve asks. "We are not soldiers. I'm not marching to Fury's fife." Tony says.

"Neither am I. He's got the same blood on his hands that Loki does. But right now we got to put that behind us and get this done. Now Loki needs a power source. If we can put together a list..." Steve states and Y/N moves closer but keeping her mouth shut.

"He made it personal." Tony interrupts.

"That's not the point."

"That is the point. That's Loki's point. He hit us all right where we live. Why?" Tony asks. "He wants to tear us apart." Y/N spoke up. "Yeah, divide and conquer is great, but he knows he has to take us out to win, right? That's what he wants. He wants to beat us, he wants to be seen doing it. He wants an audience." Tony continues.

"Right. I caught his act in Stuttgart." Steve adds. "Yeah, that's just previews. This is opening night. And Loki, he's a full-tilt diva, right? He wants flowers, he wants parades. He wants a monument built to the skies with his name plastered... Son of a bitch." Tony says obviously realizing something.

...

As Tony goes to do what he did Y/N and Steve go and find Natasha and Clint. "Time to go." Steve says once the door to the chamber was opened. "Go where?" Natasha questions. "I'll tell you on the way. Can you fly one of those jets." Steve says. "I can." Clint says opening another door. Steve looks at Natasha sort of uncertain but she gives him a nod.

"You got a suit?" Steve asks. "Yeah." Clint replies. "Then suit up." Steve says before walking away.

After Y/N leaves Steve, Natasha and Clint she decides to walk the other way in order to execute the plan she had. Y/N then stops in her tracks because she had a feeling someone was following her. Looking back, there was nothing or nobody there.

However that's where she was wrong because once she faced forward Loki stood there. Y/N wasn't gonna lie, her heart almost jumped out of her chest. "Oh, Agent L/N. Just the person I wanted to see." he says giving his signature smirk. "Hello, Loki. And goodbye, Loki." Y/N replies before starting to walk away but she couldn't move.

"What the hell? Why are you doing this? I don't have anything that you could possibly want." Y/N states realizing what was happening. "Oh, I'm afraid you do." Loki replied. Widening her eyes Loki grabs her and the two teleport.

...

Inside his suit, Tony flies in the sky up to the Stark Tower. "Sir, I've turned off the arc reactor but the device is already self-sustaining." Jarvis informs him. "Shut it down, Dr. Selvig." Tony says. "It's too late! She can't stop now. She wants to show us something! A new universe." Dr. Selvig replies.

"Okay." Tony replies before shooting his blasters at the machine but it had a force field around it which knocked him and Dr. Selvig back and down. "The barrier is pure energy. It's unbreachable." Jarvis states. "Yeah, I got that." Tony looks down and sees Loki on the building. "Plan B."

"Sir, the Mark 7 is not ready for deployment." Jarvis speaks. "Then skip the spinning rims. We're on the clock." Tony replies before landing and getting changed out of his suit while Loki looks at him as he enters the building. "Please tell me you're going to appeal to my humanity." Loki says.

"Ugh, Actually, I'm planning to threaten you." Tony replies. "You should have left your armor on for that." Loki says. "Yeah, It's seen a bit of mileage and you've got the glow stick of destiny. Would you like a drink?" Tony says.

Loki chuckles "Stalling me won't change anything." he replies. "No, no. Threatening. No drink? Are you sure? I'm having one." Tony spoke. "The Chitauri are coming. Nothing will change that. What have I to fear?" Loki says.

"The Avengers." Tony replies and Loki looks back at him. "It's what we call ourselves. We're sort of like a team. "Earth's mightiest heroes" type thing." Tony says pouring himself a drink.

"Yes, I've met them." Loki replies. "Yeah. It takes us a while to get any traction, I'll give you that one. But let's do a head count, here. Your brother the demigod, a super soldier, a living legend who kind of lives up to the legend. A man with breathtaking anger-management issues, a couple of master assassins, one who happens to be a telepath, and you big fella, you've managed to piss off every single one of them." Tony says.

"That was the plan." Loki responds. "Not a great plan. When they come, and they will, they'll come for you." Tony says walking away from the island. "I have an army." Loki says.

"We have a Hulk." Tony says. "Oh really, well I have her." Loki replies and Tony looks at him in confusion. Loki uses his scepter and Y/N appears as she rolls on the floor with a thud.

"Fuck!" Y/N cusses as she winces. "You have a hulk you say, I thought the beast had wandered off already." Loki says. Tony looks down at Y/N before looking back at Loki "You're missing the point. There is no throne. There is no version of this where you come out on top. Maybe your army comes and maybe it's too much for us, but it's all on you. Because if we can't protect the Earth, you can be damn well sure we'll avenge it." Tony says before taking a sip of his drink.

Loki slowly walks towards Tony "How will your friends have time for me when they're so busy fighting you?" he says placing the scepter to Tony's chest but nothing happens. He tries again obviously, puzzled. "This usually works." Loki says as Y/N was regaining herself as she stood up.

"Well, performance issues, it's not uncommon. One out of five..." Tony says before being grabbed by the throat and thrown. Y/N gasps and runs over to him. "Tony!" she exclaims as she helps him up. "Thanks." he says and she nods. "Jarvis, anytime now." Tony says.

Loki grabs both Tony and Y/N with his hands and holds them by their necks. "You will all fall before me." Loki says. "Deploy!" Tony calls out and Loki throws Y/N and Tony out of the windows as they free fall. Y/N screams wishing that she could fly.

Tony's suit surrounds him he then looks down and notices Y/N still falling. Quickly, he flies after her to catch her. Meanwhile as Y/N continued panicking she thought of ways she would splat against the ground or a car. But the thought was cut short when she was being held in the arms of Tony who flew her to the ground.

The two look at each for a moment before nodding at each other and Tony flies up to the Tower where Loki was. Y/N sighs before touching her face which had glass shards and blood. Once realizing the bleeding wasn't severe she runs off.
